Disney4me Posted August 16 Report Posted August 16 Carousel of Progress recently closed in Disney World to get a major makeover, including all-new scenes and a Walt Disney animatronic. Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress Well, we’re at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event watching the Disney Experiences Showcase and we just got some MASSIVE news about the Carousel of Progress update…and let’s just say Disney is bringing in the STARS for the new version of the ride. We just got a sneak peek at one of the new scenes in the ride. Check out the new concept art below: ©Disney We also just got some BIG news about who will be voicing some of the characters on the updated ride. Bryan Cranston will be voicing Father, while Jamie Lee Curtis will be voicing Mother. SAY WHAT? We even got a message from Cranston about it! So you might just want to make sure you get to Magic Kingdom then to check it out! As we previously said, the Carousel of Progress is getting entirely new scenes. The first will be set in the 1960s, starting with the moon landing in 1969. The second will be in the 1980s, with Sarah showing off her latest kitchen appliances and gadgets. The third act will take us to 1999 on New Year’s Eve, while the final scene will show a possible future. There will also be a scene with the Walt Disney animatronic similar to the one currently in Disneyland.
