Disney4me Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Okay, everybody stay calm, because something BIG is about to happen in Disney World, and it’s something we would have NEVER guessed would happen in a million years (and no, we’re not exaggerating). ©Disney As you may know, the Yeti on Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom doesn’t work because it was causing stress on the roller coaster. So instead, Disney just put like a flashing effect on it to make it look at least a little scary (hence its nickname, Disco Yeti). BUT…y’all…Disney must have figured something out because the company just announced the Yeti audio-animatronic is coming back to life. We’re at the Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and Disney just announced that the broken Yeti on Expedition Everest is finally getting fixed! Previously, we’d all but given up on the Yeti ever working properly because we’d always been told that it would be a major construction project that would take a long time to complete and would require a LOT of work. Now, Disney did not yet give a timeline on when the work on the Yeti might begin, but we expect we’ll get an announcement about an Expedition Everest closure to make it happen soon. And when that happens, we’ll let you know.
