They’re the grand finale of your magical day, and Disney has some of the best fireworks in the world. Cinderella Castle in Tokyo Disneyland But if the fireworks are also on your bucket list, we have some bad news. A popular international Disney park just canceled its fireworks show for the summer season! Sky Full of Colors is a popular fireworks show at Tokyo Disneyland, bringing millions of viewers a year. But the show is going on hiatus soon – its last performance will be today, June 14th! Disney hasn’t announced when the show will be back or why it was canceled, but we have a great guess as Disney experts. ©Disney Historically, fireworks shows at Tokyo Disney are paused during the summer due to unpredictable weather in Tokyo. The summer months bring high winds and humidity, which can cause fires if something goes wrong. Even in the international parks, safety is Disney’s number one priority. Cinderella Castle in Tokyo Disneyland While Disney hasn’t announced a return date, they typically resume around the same time of year. Looking at 2025, the fireworks paused on June 14th and returned on September 15th. Then in 2024, the fireworks were on hiatus from July 1st to September 18th.
