From The Mandalorian to Ahsoka, some of the shows set in a galaxy far, far away have become just as iconic as Luke, Leia, and Han themselves! ©Disney Between Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Book of Boba Fett, Star Wars TV series have been a landmark of the post-Skywalker era. That’s why Disney just renewed a popular Star Wars show for its second season! At the Disney Upfront showcase, Ahsoka Tano herself, Rosario Dawson, announced that Season 2 of Star Wars: Ahsoka will premiere early in 2027. The Disney+ exclusive will have an action-packed second season, with epic space battles and thrilling lightsaber combat! “It’s truly special seeing all the love from fans out there for Ahsoka and her crew,” Dawson remarked. “I can tell you this season, the battles are bigger, and the stakes are higher. We cannot wait for you to see.” ©Disney This new season will continue the storyline from season 1, where Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren were stranded in the Peridea Galaxy, as they navigate the dark secrets of the Mortis Gods. Meanwhile, the newly escaped Admiral Thrawn uses his forces to attack an unprepared New Republic. ©Disney Returning for the second season are Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, and Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati. Rory McCann joins the cast to continue the journey of Baylan Skoll after Ray Stevenson’s passing. Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll ©Disney Dave Filoni, Ahsoka showrunner and upcoming co-President of Lucasfilm, is helming the project for season two. Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren, confirmed that filming for the second season took place between April and October 2025 in the United Kingdom.
