Disney4me Posted Friday at 02:00 PM Report Posted Friday at 02:00 PM Disney Springs has evolved a lot over the years, from the original Marketplace era through Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney to the present-day shopping district. ©LEVEL99 That evolution continues today, and that’s leading to some new procedures for guests to be aware of. LEVEL99 is Coming… and Bringing Crowds to the West Side Scheduled to open sometime in 2026, LEVEL99 is an interactive, social entertainment center that will feature “real-world, challenge-based, social entertainment” for adults, featuring physical and mental challenges set in artistic environments. ©LEVEL99 The location will also offer food and drink options at a 2-story bar, including “handcrafted cocktails, local beers and made-from-scratch bites—including LEVEL99’s signature Detroit-style pizza.” Full spread at LEVEL99 at Natick, Massachusetts LEVEL99 is being built in the former home of the NBA Experience (partially where DisneyQuest was once located) in Disney Springs West Side. If the complex lives up to the franchise’s reputation, then the area, which has been a somewhat less crowded portion of Disney Springs in recent years, will likely see a lot more foot traffic once it opens. LEVEL99 is coming to Disney Springs No More Cupcakes Disney Springs’ Sprinkles Cupcake location, along with its iconic cupcake vending machine, shuttered its doors on January 1st. This closure isn’t exclusive to Disney World, however, as every Sprinkles location unexpectedly closed at the beginning of the year. Sprinkles Cupcakes is closed In the months since, the space was used as part of a Black Tap CrazyShakes popup offering a menu of specialty shakes, including the star of the show: The Special Edition Mickey Mouse Shake. Mickey Mouse Shake from Black Tap Keep an Eye Out for Temporary Additions Speaking of the CrazyShakes pop-up, Disney Springs visitors should keep an eye out for temporary events and menu offerings, including the annual Flavors of Florida event –– which will take place this summer with dates still forthcoming — and the ever-rotating menu of seasonal DOLE Whips at Swirls on the Water. Time for more sweet treats! Looking for Park Shoes? You’ll Be In Luck While Disney Springs has seen its share of closures in recent months, a new store is on its way from the iconic skate shoe brand Vans, which is opening in the former site of the old Volcom store. As a big fan of the brand who considers their checkered skate shoes his Disney World footwear of choice, I’m personally quite excited. Coming soon! Dance Party! Speaking of shoes, you may also want to have your dancing shoes ready for this summer. As part of the Cool Kids Summer promotion (May 26th – September 8th), Disney Springs will play host to a dance party featuring hits from Descendants: Wicked Wonderland and Camp Rock 3, in celebration of the new original movies coming to Disney+ this summer. ©Disney Disney Springs has long been defined by change, and new elements are still changing the face of the shopping district in 2026!
