Yes, the same airline won last year, but it can be a little hard to believe. Southwest Airlines Do you have your favorite airline in line? Okay, keep that in your mind, and let’s see if you agree with the top airline of 2026. Ready? The top airline of 2026 is Spirit Airlines! Best Airline Overall — Spirit Airlines Most Affordable Airline — Spirit Airlines Most Reliable Airline — Spirit Airlines Most Comfortable Airline — JetBlue Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, and Southwest Airlines Best Airline for Pets — SkyWest Airlines and Envoy Air Safest Airline — Frontier Airlines ©United Airlines With the survey, most people agreed that Spirit Airlines has the lowest rate of cancellations, delays, mishandled luggage, and denied boardings. For the most comfortable airlines, guests enjoyed the airlines with in-flight experiences, free Wi-Fi, extra legroom, and complimentary snacks and beverages (and to me, the Southwest snack mix will always be the best). Airplane Last year, Spirit also took the top spot overall and for affordability, but when it came to most reliable, it was Delta!
