There are a lot of places to eat at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, all of them offering unique themes, food, and experiences!

One of the most iconic places to eat at Hollywood Studios is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant. It has good food, but it’s really the atmosphere and the vibes that make this place what it is. We recently ate there because a few new items made their way onto the menu, and we’re letting you know what we think about them!

Planning guide for the ultimate Disney vacation

The Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant is themed as a 50s-style drive-in theatre, offering a fun dinner and show experience. The tables are cars, and it feels like you’re sitting outside at night watching ’50s ads, commercials, and shows on a big screen.

Like we said, there were a few new things we got to try, starting with the Cheese Ravioli for $26. This dish is a cheese ravioli with lemon ricotta, mushrooms, sausage, and squash. It had large, soft ravioli that were very well-cooked. It had a tender texture and balanced amounts of filling. The filling seems like a creamy cheese blend.

Cheese Ravioli

The ravioli leans more towards cheese-focused, with very light focus on anything else. It seemed like some kind of cream sauce was on it, but it didn’t have any taste to it that we could pick up. The lemon ricotta is in separate hunks across the dish, but when we spread it out and mixed it in with everything else, the lemon flavor complemented the cheese and vegetables nicely.

Let’s take a bite!

The squash has a firm, slight crunch with a fresh, watery bite. The sausage reminded us of a breakfast sausage, with a stronger peppery taste that’s more savory than spicy. The mushrooms had a grilled, smoky flavor. However, they’re pretty bland on their own without much seasoning. It’s tough to take a bite of everything together, but when you do, it gives a balanced, earthy, savory, creamy flavor. Overall, it was a good dish; we just wish there had been a more prominent sauce!

This is good!

Next, we had the Grilled Pork Chop for $32. This is a pork chop with peach chutney on top and cream cheese polenta on the side. The pork chop is juicy with a firm texture that sits between tender and slightly chewy. It also wasn’t dry, which we appreciated, as pork chops can be on the dry side sometimes. It doesn’t fall off the bone, but it’s definitely evenly cooked throughout.

Grilled Pork Chop

There’s a strong smoky flavor and visible char marks that you can taste, which adds a nice depth of flavor. The flavors are evenly distributed throughout the pork chop, even in the fat, which makes us think it was marinated. The peach chutney was more savory than sweet, with a peppered taste.

Let’s take a bite!

The asparagus has a strong grilled and smoky flavor that drowns out any natural taste it has. The exterior is very crispy, but inside is on the firm side. It seems slightly buttery, but it’s hard to tell through the smoke flavor. The cream cheese polenta is thick and dense, and it complements the pork chop well, especially with the juices from the pork chop. Overall, it’s quite filling and a solid pork chop!

Try it out!

For dessert, we grabbed the Feature Finale for $10. This is a small round sponge cake topped with a jelly swirl. Let’s start with the jelly topping, which had a smooth, jiggly texture and a raspberry flavor. It sits loosely on top of a shortbread cookie on the cake and can slide off easily.

Feature Finale

The interior had layers of fruity jam that we believe was strawberry. The cake itself was light, fluffy, and soft like a good angel food cake — only, not as sweet.

This looks tasty!

The overall flavor was a very strong tartness that was overwhelming in most bites. When we slid the shortbread cookie off, it revealed the layers of the cake that looked like a cinnamon roll spiral structure inside. Overall, this was a very tasty dessert.

This was delicious!

We always find ourselves at Sci-Fi Dine-In, it’s just that fun of an experience. If you haven’t eaten there before, we highly recommend it. Now, they have even more menu items to try, so there is no excuse!
