Disney4me Posted March 23 Report Posted March 23 The U.S. Department of State has issued a worldwide travel warning for Americans, urging citizens to exercise increased caution, especially in the SWANA (Southwest Asian and North African) region, also known as the Middle East. Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Eleuthera, Bahamas It’s recommended for Americans abroad to follow the guidance in security alerts issued by the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. The State Department has also warned that periodic airspace closures may cause travel disruptions. In addition, U.S. diplomatic facilities, including those outside the SWANA/Middle East regions, have been targeted per the report. Do you travel often? Additionally, the State Department warned, “Groups supportive of Iran may target other U.S. interests overseas or locations associated with the United States and/or Americans throughout the world.” No additional details were shared, such as whether there have been any actual threats to U.S.-associated targets. American travelers are being urged to exercise extreme caution regardless of where they are traveling in the world at this time.
