Disney4me Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 It’s finally happening — we’re setting sail on the Disney Adventure! Garden View Stateroom with Verandah The Disney Adventure’s home port is in Singapore, and it is the first Disney Cruise Line ship to sail from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre throughout Southeast Asia. We’re exploring everything there is to see, do, and eat on this ship, and right now we’re bringing you a full tour of a Deluxe Garden View Stateroom with Verandah! The Deluxe Garden View Stateroom with Verandah on the Disney Adventure features sweeping views of the Disney Imagination Garden, which is one of the ship’s main gathering areas that hosts live performances and character encounters. If you want to be part of the action, this is where you’ll want to stay! The view from our balcony! These rooms sleep four people and feature one queen bed and one double-sleeper sofa, along with a private balcony that boasts a Disney Imagination Garden view. Our room was themed to Spider-Man. We will do some digging on what the other themes are! Our room is themed to Spider-Man! Spider-Man is above the headrest of the bed, and there’s a Spider-Man picture on the wall! Spider-Man picture on the wall! The stateroom is extremely comfortable! One key difference compared to other ships that we really like is the bigger TV. There’s the TV! However, the room doesn’t have a large vanity like all of the other Disney ships do. Instead, it’s a smaller table that takes up less space. There is a movable small table that folds out to be a little bit bigger, which we really love because it gives a lot more flexibility to how the space can be used. Moveable table! The bed feels a little firmer and less plush, or maybe a bit thinner than the beds do on the other ships. We will look more into this as we sleep on them during our trip — you can count on us. The bed is a little firm! That being said, the pillows are just as plush — we’re pretty sure they’re the same. Soft DCL pillows! Also, the sofa bed can be done up “big or small”; they are setting it up big for us, and it was like queen size! How crazy is that?! The sofa turns into a sofa bed There are outlets next to the bed, so you can charge any devices, plug in an alarm clock, or use them for whatever essentials you have. Remember, they aren’t the outlets you’re used to! Outlets next to the bed! Speaking of, you’ll want to make sure you bring an outlet adapter for the plug-ins around the room. Different outlet! Instead of a coffee maker in your room, you have a tea kettle that is a gooseneck from Bacha Coffee. These are pretty popular and higher-end coffee and tea brands in Asia, so it’s really cool that that’s what’s provided in the rooms. Coffee and Tea There are also full standalone shops for these on the ship. Also, there are hot water dispensers. All the refreshment stations have tons of different tea bags available since tea is a much bigger thing over here in Asia. Bacha Coffee There’s also a mini fridge in the room to keep all your cold snacks and drinks in! Mini fridge! The shower is incredible! These are by far the BEST showers we’ve ever seen on a Disney cruise ship! There is a ton of space with a curved wall that looks like marble. Look at the shower! They are glass door showers, and the shower head can be put up so high. It feels a lot more accommodating for taller guests. Shampoo and soap in the shower! The bathroom is full of things you’ll need, like soap… Mickey soap! …towels… Towels! …and more. We liked that they let us know the tap water is drinkable! Drinkable water! There are lights in the mirror in the bathroom, which is great for getting ready. It provides much more even light for putting makeup on. Great lighting in the bathroom! Even though our room looks out over Disney Imagination Garden, it does a really good job of blocking out the noise. You still can hear stuff, but it’s not as loud as you’d expect. It honestly reminds us of having a pool-facing room at a Disney hotel. However, if you’re out on the veranda, it can be loud. It’s just when you are inside that you can hear the music, but it’s not overwhelming. We would not recommend these rooms if you are a light sleeper. On the balcony! There are switches in the wall that let you mark a little red light outside of your door for privacy. If you are in the room and don’t want them to service it, this is a great way to let them know. If you would like to request service, there is a little switch for requesting service that turns a little green light on in the hallway for them. Switches for service and privacy!
