Disney4me Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 It’s finally time for a food festival in Anaheim! We have been eagerly awaiting new bites, sips, and more. Luckily for us, Disneyland’s Lunar New Year Festival is officially here to provide. Longevity Noodle Co. We stopped by Longevity Noodle Co. in Disney California Adventure to put this returning booth to the test. This spot has a limited but potentially strong menu, so we’re here to put the three items here to the test. Let’s see what’s worth your time and money at this popular festival! This year, we’re celebrating the Year of the Horse, a symbol of independence, energy, and strength at Disney California Adventure from now until February 22nd. This festival isn’t a long one, so if you want to put it to the test, don’t hesitate. We’re here on the first day to let you know which items are actually worth it! Menu Let’s see what Longevity Noodle Co, located near Golden Zephyr, is serving up for the festival this year. Japchae Noodles, Garlic Noodles, and a cocktail are on the menu. Longevity Noodle Co. Menu Now that we know what we’re ordering, let’s dive in! Eats We started with the Japchae Noodles with Kalbi short rib for $9.50. This is a brand-new snack, and we normally love Japchae, but how does Disney’s hold up? Japchae Noodles Initially, the gelatinous look of these noodles had us feeling a bit hesitant, but this dish actually has some really nice flavor combos. The Kalbi short rib has a sweet and savory flavor reminiscent of the beef in a beef and broccoli dish. That beef was cooked perfectly, while the noodles were soft, and the veggies added a nice flavor to the mix. There are even some hidden mushrooms in this dish that look like the beef, so if you aren’t into mushrooms, beware. Japchae Noodles A returning option is the Garlic Noodles with long noodles tossed in zesty garlic butter with parmesan for $8.50. The description alone made our stomachs growl; however, the dish itself left a little to be desired. Garlic Noodles For starters, the noodles were a bit on the dry side, as well as a bit salty. On top of that, the garlic flavor is pretty strong, and for sure overpowers the Parmesan taste a bit. In addition, the dish feels a bit overpriced at $8.50 for what amounts to some plain noodles topped with garlic and parmesan. Drinks For drinks, a returning option to sip on is the Strawberry Lychee Cocktail for $18.50. It’s made with bourbon, strawberry purée, lychee syrup, and lime juice, garnished with a lime gummy wedge. Strawberry-Lychee Cocktail We’ve enjoyed this in the past, though we have found it to be on the sweeter side! Overall The new Japchae Noodles are the highlight of the Longevity Noodle Co. this year, offering a delicious new dining option. For better or worse, the Garlic Noodles offer the same consistencies – and inconsistencies – as previous years.
