Terra Treats snacks In Animal Kingdom, there’s been a lot of menu shifts and changes with the permanent closures of Dino Bite Snacks and Trilo-Bites and the temporary closure of Harambe Market, which is planning on taking over some menu items from its fallen DinoLand U.S.A. restaurants. Now we’re seeing even more changes coming our way! Terra Treats and the Smiling Crocodile have finally reopened with new menu items. Let’s take a look at what your newfound favorite snacks are going to be. Terra Treats At Terra Treats, you can grab: Columbian-style Hot Dog for $12.99 Plant-based Colombian-style Hot Dog for $12.99 Passion Fruit-Orange-Guava Juice Limeade with Chili-Lime Seasoning for $6.29 Coca-Cola Fountain Beverages for $4.79 DASANI Bottled Water for $4.25 Passion Fruit-Orange-Guava Juice Limeade with Chili-Lime Seasoning and Tequila for $15.50 Terra Treats menu We started with the Plant-based Columbian-style Hot Dog for $12.99, which is topped with Salsa Verde, Mayonnaise-Ketchup, Pineapple Sauce, and Crushed Chips served with Kettle Chips. Plant-Based Columbian-Style Hot Dog Our plant-based reporter loved this meal. If you loved the Plant-Based Slaw Dog from Casey’s Corner that has been removed from the menu, this might be one to take its place. While not exactly the same, it’s equally as delicious. It tastes deeply seasoned and is cooked to keep it juicy, unlike many plant-based sausages we’re used to eating. With great taste and juicy texture, it was really the sauces that made us go wild about it. The salsa verde is creamy, bright, and tastes like it has cilantro and a touch of lime in it. The mayonnaise-ketchup topping was also creamy, and when you take a bite of everything together, the flavors were harmonious. Each element can stand on its own, but put together, it feels completely new. The crushed potato chips on top added a crunch along with a bite of salt, and we were impressed by how well all the toppings stayed on the hot dog. We couldn’t taste the pineapple sauce, which we were looking forward to, but we loved the light spice or warmth from the hot dog. While it might be too much for some if you don’t like spicy food, it was just the right amount for us. Even though it reminds us of the Slaw Dog, it still feels fresh and exciting, and we can tell how much effort the chefs put into creating an equal plant-based version. As our reporter said, “In a park full of foods I love, this one’s a standout,” and as a team that literally eats Disney food every single day, that’s a big compliment! Look at all of those toppings! We also had the Passion Fruit-Orange-Guava Juice Limeade with Chili-Lime Seasoning for $6.29, made with Passion Fruit-Orange-Guava Juice, Minute Maid Limeade, and Watermelon, all with a Chili-Lime Rim. Refreshing This is a fun take on our POG juice, which is usually made with pineapple instead of passion fruit. We loved it when fixed with limeade to add a subtle tartness. The watermelon settles to the bottom and needs to be mixed in, so don’t forget to grab a straw to get the ultimate flavor adventure. Its flavor profile is incredible, with tropical fruits providing a jungle vibe and lime and watermelon offering more familiar tastes. together, it’s like a fruit punch but unique compared to others we’ve had. It’s refreshing and sweet, not overly candy-like, and grounded by real fruit juice. It tastes like a treat without being over-the-top decadent — you could still enjoy a cupcake afterward without regret. The nonalcoholic version only has the chili-lime seasoning rim on half the cup, which we preferred. While we appreciated the additional salty, spicy lime element, we also enjoyed the juice and might ask for it without the rim next time. While we didn’t try the alcoholic version, we thought it was neat that it was made with tequila instead of rum! Chili lime salt rim The Smiling Crocodile also opened with a new menu! You can now grab: Pulled Pork Cheese Arepa for $13.49 Pulled Chicken Cheese Arepa for $13.49 Coca-Cola Fountain Beverages for $4.79 DASANI Bottled Water for $4.25 Bud Light Lager Draft for $10 Island Sunrise for $15.50 The Smiling Crocodile We can’t wait to go back and get our hands on some arepas! We’ll really be living our Encanto dreams once we have arepas in one hand and we’re strolling through Puebla Esperanza, the new tropical Americas-themed land coming to replace DinoLand. The Smiling Crocodile is currently open 11 AM to 3 PM, so you’ll want to time your snacking right to be able to grab these fun treats.
