An iconic EPCOT attraction is now CLOSED!

Although the good news is that it will only be temporarily closed for refurbishment. However, if you are headed to EPCOT in the next couple of months, you won’t be able to take a slow-moving journey through time to thank the Phoenicians.

Spaceship Earth is now temporarily closed in EPCOT. This iconic attraction, located inside the EPCOT ball, is now undergoing routine refurbishment for a few months. Currently, Spaceship Earth is expected to reopen later this year, but Disney hasn’t announced an exact date for its reopening.

Spaceship Earth is temporarily closed for refurbishment

We stopped by EPCOT this morning, August 25th, to see the current state of Spaceship Earth. We spotted planters up around the entrance, but for the most part, everything looks very similar.

We will definitely be missing this ride while it is closed, and we are hoping we will be able to ride again soon! We aren’t expecting any major changes to this attraction, just routine maintenance and refurbishment.

While Spaceship Earth has temporarily closed, we are eagerly anticipating the opening of something else in EPCOT! The 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival officially starts on August 28th, and we can’t wait to experience this year’s festival.

Hawai’i Booth Spread

We will be there to bring you full coverage of the festival, so stay tuned to DFB! The festival runs until November 22nd, so you have a few months to enjoy the food, drink, and entertainment. The entrance signage was also put up this morning, which means we are almost there!
