REVIEW: Disney World’s New Chicken Sandwich Is On The Money, Honey (Like, That’s Its Name)

Okay, when it comes to deciding on a restaurant in Disney Springs, all bets are off because there are SO many good places to eat.

Y’all…we still struggle with the decision. Should we do table service and go to Homecomin’ or Wine Bar George? Do we want to dive into some sushi at Morimoto Asia or nosh on some Italian food at Terralina Crafted Italian?  Or do we want quick service and indulge in some savory meats at The Polite Pig, nom on some Indian-inspired foods at eet by Maneet Chauhan, or grab fish and chips from Cookes of Dublin? Well, if you’re in Disney Springs and struggle like we do when looking for your next lunch, we may have just found it for you.

Chicken Guy! is always one of our go-to quick service restaurants in Disney Springs…and for good reason. The celebrity-owned chain by Guy Fieri really does have some of the best chicken sandwiches EVER. Well, a brand new sandwich has dropped, the Money Honey Bacon BBQ Chicken Sandwich for $9.99 with special sauce, fried pickles, cheddar cheese, smoked bacon & Money Honey BBQ sauce. AWWWW yeah.

So this sandwich isn’t anything unique, but we loved it. The bun was fluffy, soft, and buttery. The chicken was juicy with a nice crisp on the outside. You also get two gigantic chicken tenders on the sandwich, so they’re not skimping on the meat here. The fried pickles are also a nice addition — they were tangy with a nice bit of breading and crunch on the outside. And the crispy bacon was…well, it’s bacon! It’s awesome.

You definitely get more of the flavor from the BBQ sauce than the special sauce. Now, the Money Honey is a sweet honey BBQ sauce, so you’ll have to like sweet BBQ sauces to appreciate it. The special sauce is creamy and reminds us a lot of Raising Cane’s special sauce. As you can imagine, though, there’s a lot going on here, so this can get messy, but WORTH IT. Should you travel to Disney Springs for this sandwich? Maybe not. But if you’re going to be there anyway, this is a great lunch.
