Walt Disney World has unwrapped dates and fresh details about two after-hours holiday events, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park.

Both are extra-ticket affairs with special entertainment programming, festive foods and access to select attractions and characters.  And both have early November starts. Their tickets go on sale to the general public for on July 22.

Jollywood Nights, entering its third year, features a glittery/glam theme with an emphasis on music and stage shows with characters, a couple of Muppets and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” The 13 event dates are Nov. 8, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and Dec. 1, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20 and 22.  Hours are 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., although park entry begins at 5:30 p.m.  Ticket prices varies with date, ranging from $159 to $199 per person.

New Jollywood features will include moving the Holiday Fiesta en la Calle street fair to the Coaster Courtyard, where Miguel from “Coco” will be stationed; a Backlot Express specialty menu; and fresh souvenir merchandise. The stage shows that debuted at Hollywood Studios last month — “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” and “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” — will be available during the event.

New ‘small world’ verse will play in Magic Kingdom ride

Returning Jollywood fare includes “”Disney Holidays in Hollywood” show hosted by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy; “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along”; the “Glisten!” skating show; “Jazzy Holidays” at the Brown Derby; a 1930s style lounge act called “Twilight Soiree at the Tip Top Club” near Tower of Terror; and various projection productions including “Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam.”

Character interactions announced so far include Stitch (dressed in Santa garb), Baloo, King Louie, Chip ‘n’ Dale in Rescue Rangers mode, Max Goof (as Powerline) and Phineas and Ferb.

The dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are Nov. 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 25, 26, 28, 30 and Dec. 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19 and 21. The event starts at 7 p.m., although entry is allowed for ticketholders at 7 p.m.  Ticket prices vary by date, ranging from $169 to $229 per person.

Very Merry entertainment options will again includes “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade,” “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks,” “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration” stage show; holiday makeovers of attractions such as Mad Tea Party and Space Mountain and opportunities to meet characters as well as Santa Claus.
