The food court at Disney’s Pop Century Resort has been undergoing construction since July, and now we have another update on the progress! Disney’s Pop Century Resort We are getting one step closer to this food court no longer being under construction, so let’s take a look at the current situation! Everything Pop Shopping and Dining is located inside of Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This area houses the hotel’s gift shop and food court. It has been undergoing renovations since July 19th, and now more of the newly refurbished food court has been unveiled! Everything Pop Shopping and Dining When construction began in July, most of the food court was closed and guests were only able to Mobile Order from the food court. At the end of September, a large chunk of the food court reopened including the food counters, so guests were no longer required to Mobile Order. When we stopped by recently, we noticed that more of the food court has been reopened! Everything Pop Shopping and Dining Additionally, the entrance is no longer behind construction walls, although there are still some construction walls up. The entrance has reopened! While one small part of the food counters is still under construction… One section of the food court is still under construction A portion of the seating behind the gift shop is still under construction as well, but it seems like they are making good progress on the renovation. We are loving the bright and retro colors throughout the food court, and we feel like the new design really fits with the theme of Pop Century. The holiday season has arrived in Disney World — and you know what that means. Tree at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort It means that all the parks and hotels are now decked out in holiday decorations with gorgeous Christmas trees. It also means that holiday snacks have arrived (probably our FAVORITE part of the holiday season). And it means the gingerbread displays are up at Disney World hotels, meaning that a lot of people will be visiting those hotels. However, we have a word of warning if you plan on visiting the most popular hotel gingerbread display. The gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is always a huge draw for the holiday crowds in Disney World. This impressive display brings a TON of people to the hotel during what is already one of the year’s busiest seasons. That means one thing: Disney starts cracking down on a specific rule for those who are not staying at the Grand Floridian but still plan to visit the gingerbread display there. 2024 Grand Floridian Gingerbread House Disney World has issued a warning for those who want to visit the Grand Floridian gingerbread display and plan on driving to the hotel to do so. Disney is telling guests to park at the Magic Kingdom parking lot (aka the Transportation and Ticket Center) and take the Monorail to the hotel. Parking is only allowed at the hotel for those staying there or those with a dining reservation at one of the hotel’s restaurants. ©Disney Disney also recommends those with dining reservations at the hotel to allow extra time for travel, which is generally a good rule of thumb for everywhere at Disney World during the holiday season. Things are going to be extra busy, so expect transportation to take a little longer in some instances. Disney bus to Grand Floridian So if you are visiting this holiday season, plan ahead, pack your patience, but most importantly, HAVE FUN. Disney World is changing its premium Lightning Lane pass less than a month after its introduction. Cinderella Castle Lightning Lane Premier Pass allows you to use the Lightning Lanes to skip the lines at most attractions in any given Disney World park — without having to make reservations and schedule your Lightning Lanes throughout the day. With this pass, you just scan in at the Lightning Lane — no reservation needed. And starting November 22nd, Disney World has announced a big change. When Lightning Lane Premier Pass was introduced on October 30th, 2024, you could only buy it if you were staying in a Disney World Deluxe Hotel, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, or Shades of Green. But now, you can buy Premier Pass if you are staying in ANY Disney World hotel — including Moderate or Value Resorts. Even value resort guests can now buy Disney World’s Lightning Lane Premier Pass. Get ready to defy gravity! ©Universal Universal’s Wicked is debuting in theaters on November 22nd, 2024 and the hype is real! The epic musical fantasy is a screen adaptation of the wildly popular stage musical of the same name and has been highly anticipated for years now. We’ve been getting ready with some themed merch and playing the songs over and over again, but for those looking to sing along, one major movie chain says, “Not so fast!” Wicked on stage has already amassed a HUGE following of adoring fans who know all the lyrics by heart. However, fans wanting to sing along to these “popular” songs may want to take pause, as AMC Theaters is warning moviegoers that singing along will be considered a disruption and could lead to expulsion from the theater. AMC in Disney Springs Ahead of its debut on November 22nd, AMC Theaters (the largest movie theater chain in the United States) began playing a 30-second advisory before every movie to remind viewers that “silence is golden”. The clip uses a voiceover amid moments from the Broadway adaptation that says, “No talking. No texting. No singing. No wailing. No flirting. And absolutely no name-calling. Enjoy the magic of movies.” AMC has always advocated for silence, but the premiere of a well-known musical that is likely to dominate the box office has prompted the theater chain to issue a more prominent reminder. It’s also become apparent that singing during showtimes could become an issue, regardless of this warning. Movie theater Fortunately, for those who feel they’ll have a tough time staying silent during musical numbers like “Defying Gravity” and “Popular”, Variety has reported that about 1,000 theaters in North America will offer sing-along screenings of Wicked beginning this Christmas, December 25th, 2024. The number of theaters could change and details aren’t finalized yet, but this feature is ideal for those looking for a more interactive experience. We are headed to a galaxy far, far away to feast on some new menu items! Oga’s Cantina Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney World recently got some new menu items, and of course, we stopped by to give them a try. Oga’s Cantina is located inside of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is a notorious local watering hole owned by Oga Garra that serves up a variety of unique alcoholic drinks and small bites. While you are enjoying your items, you will be entertained by DJ R-3X. Oga’s Cantina is a lively and popular cantina, you may find yourself standing or sitting next to another party, and you are asked to limit your visit to 45 minutes. Oga’s Cantina This Disney World lounge is full of theming, and you really feel like you have stepped into another world. Oga’s just introduced some new menu items, including TWO new snack items, so we did a bit of traveling to Batuu to check them out. Oga’s Cantina Spread To start we grabbed the Umbaran Cheese Roll which costs $12. The cheese roll is spice-dusted pretzel bun stuffed with herbed cheese and a dipping sauce. This guy was crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. It had a great texture and the herbed cheese inside was warm and creamy. This cheese roll did have quite a bit of spice to it, but it wasn’t a crazy amount of heat spiciness. Umbaran Cheese Roll The herbed cheese inside reminded us of a spiced, creamy pimento cheese. It was served with a dipping sauce that tasted like a thin honey mustard sauce. The sweetness of the sauce worked well with the spices from the bread and the creaminess of the cheese. We thought this dish was unique and flavorful. Umbaran Cheese Roll Next, we got the Thruster Roasted Bantha Flatbread for $17. This snack is naan flatbread topped with spiced chorizo beef and a four-cheese blend. We loved the spices you could taste on this flatbread. It had a lot of flavors including hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. While we didn’t taste too much of the cheese, the spiced chorizo and tomato sauce were delicious. The chorizo was juicy and had lots of flavor. Plus, there was lots of it spread all over the flatbread. The tomato sauce added lots of tomato flavor and then the flatbread was topped with a few microgreens. The crust of the flatbread was thin, but soft. It was not crunchy at all and is exactly what you would expect from a piece of naan. It made it a bit difficult to keep the toppings on, but overall, we also really enjoyed this dish. Thruster Roasted Bantha Flatbread Finally, we had to grab one of the new drinks to wash it all down. We got the Nysillin and Bubbles with Brub Berry Essence which costs $18. This drink is made with Empress 1908 Gin, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, and blueberry-lime juice topped with tonic water and garnished with an edible hibiscus flower. This drink was on the sweeter side and had lots of fruity flavor to it. Nysillin and Bubbles with Brub Berry Essence The flavors were really well balanced, and the gin was the perfect alcohol choice for this drink. The main flavors we tasted were blueberry and gin, but the lime juice was also there and did a great job of cutting through some of the sweetness of the drink. This drink was really tasty and refreshing. Nysillin and Bubbles with Brub Berry Essence Overall, we really enjoyed the new additions to the menu. Our favorite snack item was probably the Umbaran Cheese Roll because it was a bit more unique, but you can’t go wrong with either of the new snack items. We also enjoyed the Nysillin and Bubbles with Brub Berry Essence and we would definitely get this drink again! In addition to these items, Oga’s Cantina also added a few other new drinks including: the Bloody Rancor with Candied Meat, The Sylop, and the Corellian Spike Cold Brew. Other new drinks were added too! We have eaten everywhere in Disney World, and we aren’t stopping there! Disney World rides seem to be shutting down for refurbishment left and right. Magic Kingdom We want to make sure you are prepared for your upcoming vacation, so here’s a look at what attractions will be closed in December 2024. Swiss Family Treehouse The Swiss Family Treehouse over in Adventureland will be closed for refurbishment from November 18th through December 20th. Swiss Family Treehouse Inspired by the classic 1960 Disney film The Swiss Family Robinson, this is a walk-through attraction that features a 6-story-high treehouse. Once you make it to the top, you get a spectacular view of Adventureland from above. Thankfully the closure is only a month long, but keep this in mind in case your trip brings you to Magic Kingdom on those dates. That’s not the only attraction that will be closed in December, however. Test Track Over at EPCOT, Test Track has been closed since June 17th, 2024, to make way for a brand-new version of the ride. ©Disney Inspired by the opening day version of the attraction, World of Motion, Test Track is expected to reopen once again sometime in 2025. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy At Hollywood Studios, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy a show based on Cars, closed permanently on October 8th, 2024. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy A new show is underway inspired by Disney Villians and is due to debut in the summer of 2025. Voyage of the Little Mermaid Meanwhile, Voyage of the Little Mermaid remains closed at Hollywood Studios as well, postponing its original Fall 2024 opening timeline. Voyage of the Little Mermaid A new, updated show will be gracing the stage, titled “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure.” It is now expected to open in the Summer of 2025. It wouldn’t be the holiday season without a certain iconic red plant decking the halls – the poinsettia! That’s why Cast Members plant over 100,000 poinsettias and other festival foliage each year at Walt Disney World. Planning, decorating, and planting this stunning amount takes careful preparation from Disney’s skilled horticulturists who create the beautifully landscaped wonderland that guests know and love during the most wonderful time of the year. At a 3.5 acre-tree farm behind Disney’s Animal Kingdom, horticulturists have been caring for the resort’s plants and flowers for over five decades even before Disney World opened! Today, selecting these quintessential holiday plants begins nearly a year before the holidays. With over 100 different varieties of poinsettias to choose from, this living decor finds its way into picture-perfect spots across our theme parks, resorts and Disney Springs and come in a range of colors – from classic reds and bright whites to unique shades of pink. You can also check out the 8-foot-tall poinsettia “towers” throughout World Celebration Gardens at EPCOT. As a horticulture area manager, Allison Brooks has been transforming Disney landscapes since she started as an intern 26 years ago and truly loves bringing the holidays to life. “I love to use my horticulture skills to bring our parks and resorts to life, especially during the holidays. Our team works year-round enhancing Disney spaces with carefully chosen foliage,” said Allison. “After all the flowers are nurtured and planted, it becomes a special moment to showcase the team’s talents and share this experience with our guests.” Allison’s Pro Tip: If you’re caring for poinsettias at home this holiday season, make sure they have plenty of sunlight. Add water whenever the surface of the soil feels dry. Be careful not to overwater your poinsettia. Some may even surprise you and bloom again next year! Once the holiday season is upon us, the floral magic comes alive! Allison and her team—including talented gardeners, arborists and more—plant a stunning array of poinsettias in the wee hours of the morning. They then prepare the parks and resorts for opening the next day, adding a vivid pop of color to beloved experiences like the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays presented by AdventHealth. Disney World has been BUSY decking the halls! Christmas has arrived at Magic Kingdom! We can’t get over all the wreaths, garlands, and Christmas decor and we’ve already had the chance to check out the incredible gingerbread display at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. But now, we’re heading to a different Disney World hotel to see what sort of decor they’ve donned for the holidays. It’s official! The MASSIVE Christmas tree has finally arrived at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. We’ve seen holiday displays pop up at the Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and more, but now this huge tree has appeared overnight in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge. Seriously — just look at how gigantic this thing is! This tree is MASSIVE! The Christmas tree spans multiple stories — here’s a look at it from one of the top floors viewable from the lobby. When we say this thing is massive, we really mean it! There’s a large, four-pointed star at the top of the tree… It spans multiple floors. …and so many adorable details hidden within the ornaments on the tree. Plus, check out how many twinkling lights there are on this bad boy! In keeping with the Wilderness Lodge theme, there are lots of bear ornaments… Adorable details. …and even some adorable little bear figures stationed throughout the lobby. There’s even one climbing a tree — which is especially funny if you remember the Magic Kingdom Bear Incident of September 2023, when an actual, live bear made its way into Magic Kingdom and wreaked havoc. Bears! Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful hotel at any time of the year, but especially so during the holiday season! Disneyland Paris is an ocean away from Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. The theme park is, in many ways, similar to the American Disney parks. Disneyland Paris shares some of the same attractions, characters, and treats. But, given its location and audience, there are some important differences between Disney World, Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris. Disneyland Paris In fact, Disneyland Paris announced a special ticket discount for guests with a disability, with the news coming on the heels of a hotly-debated Disney World disability program change. Could this difference point to a new trend among the international Disney parks? Disney World made headlines when it announced major changes to its Disability Access Service, also known as DAS. The changes focused on a total process overhaul, and as a result, many people found that they no longer qualified for the special DAS accommodations. Partner’s Statue The changes were criticized, though Disney has not commented on the updates since they went live in May 2024. A few months later, Disneyland Paris announced a new option of its own for guests with disabilities. Overview According to the Disneyland Paris website, the company is working on ways to make the parks accessible for everyone, stating, “As we continue to grow and develop our offerings, accessibility and creating a welcoming place for all remains one of our top priorities for our guests, Cast Members and the community.” Disneyland Park Entrance Disneyland Paris offers an accessibility program that provides priority access to up to 58 attractions at Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. The website states, “To accomplish this, we empower guests to evaluate their own autonomy and decide which attractions they can experience, depending on attraction safety access conditions and level of autonomy.” Tickets Disneyland Paris recently announced a special-rate Disney Park ticket offer for guests with disabilities. The offer states that those with a disability receive a 25% reduction on the price of a Disney Park Ticket for themselves and one other person. ©Disney To utilize this discount, you must provide proof of disability on the day of your visit. This includes an original copy of valid proof of disability and your ID at the ticket counters to validate your special-rate ticket and retrieve your Priority Card. Then, you must present your Priority Card and park ticket to enter the Disney Parks. Disney states, “If you do not have a valid proof of disability, you will not be able to access the Disney Parks at the special rate.” ©Disneyland Paris There is a list of valid proof of disabilities on the Disneyland Paris website. Visit the “Priority Card request” page to learn more. If you are traveling from the United States, for example, the following documents are accepted: Disability card issued by the US Department of Veterans Affairs Parking Card for Disabled People Other official disability documents issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Social Security Disability Insurance (SSD) Supplemental Security Income (SSI) VA Disability Compensation Benefits Parking Badge; permanent or temporary Access pass: America The Beautiful Priority Card In the announcement above, Disneyland Paris mentions a “Priority Card.” This is similar to the DAS system in Disney World in that a Priority Card gives you priority (but not immediate) access to attractions, shows, parades, Character meet-and-greets, and the payment counters of our restaurants and shops in the Disney Parks. ©Disney You can request a Priority Card online up to one month before your visit. Disneyland Paris’s system is quite different from the new DAS process in the United States, where you must attend a video call with a Disney Cast Member. This person ultimately determines whether or not you qualify for Disney World’s Disability Access Service benefits and does not require one specific document as proof of disability. Okay, can you believe that we are already so close to the end of the year? We’ll be saying goodbye to 2024 in like NO TIME and hello to 2025. Magic Kingdom Now, 2025 is going to be an exciting year for Disney World, with ALL kinds of new stuff coming to the parks like a new Villains show in Hollywood Studios, a Zootopia attraction in Animal Kingdom, a new version of Test Track in EPCOT, a new nighttime parade in Magic Kingdom, and more. However, if you’ll be visiting Disney World in January, we’ve got to warn you about one particular date: January 30th. If you plan on visiting Magic Kingdom on January 30th, 2025, you may want to change your plans. That’s because Magic Kingdom will be closing early on that date, at 4:30PM (yeah, REALLY early). So you won’t be able to see Happily Ever After that evening, and if that’s your only day in Magic Kingdom during your trip, you might be disappointed. If you are visiting that week, we’d suggest visiting Magic Kingdom on any other day. ©Disney Of course, if you have the park hopper option added to your ticket, you can just visit Magic Kingdom that morning and then hop over to another park before it closes. However, we wanted to make sure you were aware of this early closure, just in case. This is why we always recommend keeping an eye on the Disney World calendar for your trip dates, just in case. Magic Kingdom entrance So WHY is Magic Kingdom closing early on that date? Well, this is usually because of some kind of special event, although we couldn’t say for sure. We’ll continue to keep an eye on park hours, though, and let you know if we spot any other early park closures, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Providing hope to military and veteran families when they need it most Orlando Fisher House stands as a beacon of hope for veteran families in need. It’s one of nearly 100 comfort homes nationwide built by Fisher House Foundation. These warm and welcoming spaces offer complimentary lodging, allowing families to stay close to their loved ones while they are receiving medical care at a nearby hospital. For years, Disney has supported Fisher Houses across the nation through Disney VoluntEARS events like this and more. Renovating Orlando Fisher House’s new outdoor kitchen Our tradition was made even more special this year as we joined teams from both the Fisher House and Orlando VA Medical Center to officially open a new outdoor kitchen area. Disney was honored to provide funding to help renovate this new social grill space that will be a place where families can come together while supporting their heroes who are receiving care. Following the ceremony, expert Disney Chefs helped officially open the newly renovated outdoor patio by serving up a delicious lunch. “It is always a magical day when Disney comes to our Fisher House to spread some Holiday cheer for our guests,” said George Denby, General Manager of Orlando Fisher House. “We are grateful for their generous donation to renovate our outdoor kitchen; this will allow our families to spend more time together and enjoy delicious meals.” In addition to what took place in Florida, Fisher Houses in Hawaii, Los Angeles and Long Beach will also receive some holiday décor and cheer. Okay, is it just us, or is there some overlap between Disney fans and McDonald’s fans? Because, well, we’re both. The Disney Treasure is almost ready to set sail with guests on board! Disney Treasure We have been following along with the Treasure’s journey as we prepare for Disney Cruise Line’s sixth ship to take her maiden voyage on December 21st! Disney Cruise Line is known for rotational dining across all of its ships. Each night, your server team will come with you as you rotate to three dining rooms on board the ship. The Disney Treasure will feature three different dining rooms, and recently, we got a sneak peek of them! The Disney Treasure is a sister ship to the Disney Wish and will feature two of the same restaurants found on board. On the Disney Treasure, you will rotate between Plaza de Coco, Worlds of Marvel, and 1923. We got to step inside each of these restaurants during our tour of the Disney Treasure, and we are bringing you all along with us! Worlds of Marvel 1923 Just like on the Disney Wish, you will find 1923 on Deck Three. 1923, is the year that the Walt Disney Company was founded, so to pay homage to its founders, you will either dine in the Walt Disney dining room or the Roy Disney dining room. According to Disney, this restaurant combines “classic Hollywood glamour with a dash of Disney whimsy.” Throughout the restaurant, you will be able to get a look at the evolution of Disney animation over the last century with one thousand drawings, props, and other animation tools. 1923 aboard the Disney Treasure The menu is “Inspired by the fusion of cultural flavors found throughout the Golden State.” We got a look at some of the dishes that will be served in 1923, and they were looking delicious! 1923 on the Disney Treasure There is a Roy Disney side and a Walt Disney side of 1923, and each side is filled with lots of beautiful details and plenty of displays to look at. We spotted this display that has a variety of items from Up including a sketch of Russell, Carl & Ellie’s mailbox, and more. 1923 on the Disney Treasure There was also one with sketches, figurines, and props from Aladdin. 1923 We love the elegant touches throughout the dining area in addition to all the drawings, props, and animation tools. 1923 While 1923 is wonderful, it is just one of the three restaurants you will be rotating through on the Disney Treasure, so let’s move on to the next restaurant! Plaza de Coco Up next is Plaza de Coco, which is the equivalent of Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure aboard the Disney Wish. This Coco-themed restaurant is on Deck Five. Plaza de Coco You get both dinner and a show here, as there will be musical performances by a Mariachi band, plus Miguel will give an appearance! This dining experience will be like a theater-in-the-round; there will be tables surrounding the stage, and performances and show effects will be spread throughout the dining room. Plaza de Coco Dining Room Since seven-night sailings will allow dining in each dining room at least twice, there will be two different nights of unique dining experiences at Plaza de Coco. On the first night in the dining room, “the story of Miguel and his family will continue where it left off on screen as they gather in Mariachi Plaza to take guests on a colorful, music-filled journey that celebrates family memories and togetherness.” On the second night, “Miguel will reunite with his great-great-grandparents, Hector and Mama Imelda, by transporting them to Santa Cecilia with the help of his magic guitar for a Día de los Muertos celebration.” (Kent Phillips, photographer) The menu here will be filled with dishes inspired by the film’s setting, like Chorizo Street Croquettes and Pan-Seared Adobo Spiced Sea Bass. The Mexican-inspired fare will be paired with themed drink options. Dishes at Plaza de Coco The restaurant pays homage to Coco and includes lots of tributes to the iconic film. You will see the Rivera family’s Ofrenda, family photos, colorful papel picados, floral elements, and so much more. You really feel like you are being transported into the movie and it doesn’t get much better than dinner with a show! Rivera family tree framed Now, let’s head to the last of the three restaurants that are a part of the rotational dining on the Disney Treasure. Worlds of Marvel Worlds of Marvel will also be aboard the Disney Treasure as it is on the Disney Wish. The restaurant is also an immersive dining experience that will have you going on adventures with Marvel characters while dining. The Disney Treasure will feature Avengers: Quantum Encounter, which is on the Disney Wish as well. Worlds of Marvel The Treasure will get a brand-new show called “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix,” which will be based on the Guardians of the Galaxy. This dinner show will be a totally immersive dining experience where Groot will bring diners along for a screen-based quest to throw a surprise party for Rocket Raccoon. While you dine, a Starlord-approved awesome mixtape of songs will play! Worlds of Marvel The menu is inspired by the iconic locations and characters of the Marvel Universe including dishes inspired by Wakanda, Sokovia (home of Quicksilver and The Scarlet Witch), and New York. 2024 has been a year full of change at Disney World! Magic Kingdom One of the biggest changes happened over the summer when we said goodbye to Genie+ and hello to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. This new pay-to-skip-the-line service completely changed the way that Lightning Lanes were purchased and booked, and in some way, the new system mimics its predecessor, FastPass+. Many people seem to glance over two other changes that were made with this new system, but they are essential to think about, especially when planning your trip! As a refresh, Lightning Lane Multi Pass is Disney World’s new version of Genie+, whereas Lightning Lane Single Pass is the new version of Individual Lightning Lane. If you are staying at a Disney World hotel, you can purchase your Lightning Lanes (both Multi or Single) seven days before your trip. All others can book three days prior. Rides are now broken up into tiers, and you can select three attractions via Multi Pass before you arrive. Lightning Lane There is also Lighting Lane Premier Pass, which is available in limited quantities to Deluxe Resort guests. This pass allows you to enter all the Lightning Lanes within one park, one time, without the need to reserve a time slot. ©Disney As if the names, booking window, and ride tiers were not enough change, Disney also quietly removed two offerings that were once part of Genie+. Lightning Lane at Peter Pan’s Flight Disney World is full of entertainment offerings as well as character meet and greets. Lines for characters and viewing for entertainment, like parades, can get crowded. With Genie+, you could reserve a Lightning Lane for more than just attractions and some shows. You could also select character meet and greets and parade viewing. Ariel in the Festival of Fantasy parade When the change of the system rolled out in July, we noticed that these offerings were no longer going to be part of the new system. While this might not be a big deal to some, those who are more familiar with what was offered with both FastPass+ and Genie+ may be shocked to see that you can no longer reserve a spot for parades or character meet and greets. Lightning Lane for character meet and greets is no longer part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass. The good news is that you will still be able to see when character meet and greets and parade times will happen. You can view these times in the My Disney Experience app, but here’s a word of warning: times do change, so make sure to continuously check throughout the day so you are not caught off guard by any changes. Make sure to check the My Disney Experience app for updated parade times! We are not entirely sure why Disney decided to remove Lightning Lanes from parades and character meet and greets (we have some ideas), but it is essential to consider this when planning your trip so you can adjust your game plan. Disney’s newest cruise ship, the Disney Treasure, is ready to set sail! Now that we’ve seen the AMAZING Haunted Mansion bar and toured the showstopping Tomorrow Tower Suite inspired by EPCOT, we’re ready to spend allll our time at sea. Disney Cruise, anyone? Welcome to the Disney Treasure! Well, if you really are considering a vacation with Disney Cruise Line, you’re in luck! Thanks to our recent media preview of the new Disney Treasure cruise ship, we got a peek inside the Rajah Royal Suite. Come with us for a full tour of the room! Welcome to the Disney Treasure cruise ship! This new addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet is inspired by travel and adventure, with nods to Disney classics like Aladdin, The Lion King, Luca, Finding Nemo, and more. The ship is sisters with the Disney Wish, so you might see some similarities between the two. Minnie Mouse aboard the Disney Treasure Today, we’re going inside the Rajah Royal Suite. This is considered a Concierge Royal Suite with Verandah Stateroom, and you can choose from a 1-Story Royal Suite or a 2-Story Royal Suite. If you stay in a Royal Suite, the rooms feature: 2 main bedrooms 3 full bathrooms, including 2 main bathrooms with double sinks and a guest bathroom with a shower (one of the main bathrooms features a bathtub with a rain shower and the other contains a walk-in rain shower) Private balcony with a whirlpool tub Large living area Open dining salon Pantry and wet bar stocked with water and sodas Walk-in closet in both main bedrooms Let’s head inside! The Rajah Royal Suite sleeps six. At the Concierge level, expect some luxury amenities like down duvets, a pillow menu (with pillow options including hypoallergenic, feather, and therapeutic memory foam), a personal robe and slippers, complimentary access to Premium Surf Wi-Fi internet service, and more. We LOVE all the artwork! Here’s a look at the common space to really give you an idea of the design style throughout the suite. You’ll find rich jewel tones, ornate decorations, and nods to Aladdin. Living Area The dining area has enough seats for six. Plenty of space to sit and relax! Nearby, the kitchen has coffee, tea, and even some little jam! This is a great spot to grab a quick bite for breakfast before exploring the ship. There’s a nice kitchen area, too! Each living area has plenty of plush seating and cozy accents. This is a luxury suite, after all! Those chairs look comfortable! Now, off to the first bedroom! This one has a lovely view outside, plenty of outlets next to the bed, and a TV. Here’s a look at one of the bedrooms The second bedroom has a small makeup counter next to the bed, which is perfect for getting ready! Bedroom This is also where you’ll find one of the phones should you need room service or assistance. This is perfect for makeup! OK, can we talk about this bathroom? It’s HUGE! The floor-to-ceiling window is incredible. The tile is gorgeous. The counter is big enough to hold all your makeup, skincare, and hair tools. There’s even a big soaker tub. When you go to Disney World often, you can really notice the trends that pop up periodically. Magic Kingdom Whether it trends like a particular menu item that only comes during a particular season, new merch that coincides with a new festival, or even the trend of closing certain rides for annual refurbishments, we’ve seen it all at Disney World. Now, there’s one particular trend that we’ve seen appearing all over Disney World, and not gonna lie…it’s kinda CREEPY. As we were saying, there’s a trend that we’ve noticed appearing all over Disney World, and frankly it terrifies us. We’re talking about some downright terrifying dolls we’ve seen all about and now we need you to see them too! Once Upon a Toy Tree Doll (Disney Springs) First up, let’s have a stroll at Disney Springs where the 2024 Christmas Tree Stroll is happening! Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll Strewn all about Disney Springs you can find Christmas trees themed to some of your favorite Disney films and franchises. Now, take this tree over by Earl of Sandwich. At first glance, it appears to be just like any other Christmas tree on the property. Let’s get closer. Once Upon a Toy Tree We can see this doll sitting at the base of the tree between presents. Once Upon a Toy Tree doll There’s just something a bit uncanny about the way it looks. Now, I wonder how many people know what’s at its base. Let’s have a look. Christmas Tree By all accounts, we have a pretty standard assortment of traditional holiday decor like wrapped present boxes and bows, a toy truck, nutcrackers, and even a doll. Christmas tree decor Speaking of that doll, let’s have a closer look. The first thing that’s a bit “off” are the nutcrackers. What are they doing? Main Street, U.S.A. Liberty Square Doll (Magic Kingdom) We saved the “best” one for last. We’re staying at Magic Kingdom for this one. You’re going to want to pop on over to Liberty Square to find this one. Where’s the Creepy Doll?? Look for the building that has a wheelbarrow and cellar door and you’ll find the doll in the window there. Liberty Square Doll If you look closely, she definitely give some “Annabelle” vibes. She’s Watching You… They say that this one is to represent the fact that dolls were often placed in windows in colonial times to alert firefighters that children lived in that house, in case there was a fire, but we’re pretty sure we would’ve said “nah” if we had seen this doll during colonial times too. And we know Cynthia isn’t new…but she’s still pretty creepy. Liberty Square Doll There you have it! Those are just three of the terrifying dolls that we’ve seen pop up all over Disney World.
