  3. The 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is officially OPEN! We’ve made our way around the festival, checking out all the best eats, rockin’ shows, gorgeous topiaries, and a whole lot more, and now we’re bringing you our thoughts! 2025 France Full Spread There is so much to see and do at the festival, but if you ask us, the food is the best part, of course. If you’re not looking to break the bank, you’ve come to the right place because this is officially the cheapest snack you can get at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival! The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing and we’ve already made our way around to every single food booth to find out which eats are worth your time and money, and which ones are best left in the dirt. You can check out our post here on the food and drinks that were our Best of the Fest, but, which snacks are the cheapest? 2025 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival At this year’s festival, there are two snacks that will run you less than $5, which is a pretty good deal! That’s especially true when you consider both of these eats are some of the best ones you can find at Flower and Garden this year. Over at Farmer’s Feast inside CommuniCore Hall, you can get the Blueberry Crumble Cake with blueberry-lemon zest soft-serve and blueberry compote for $4.75. The perfect texture We loved this Blueberry Crumble but wish it was a little bit more tart. It’s very sweet but has that tart tang at the end. The soft serve carries most of the sweetness and is perfectly creamy. The whole dish had a fantastic texture from the crunchy and creamy and was overall a great dish. YUM Over at Northern Bloom in the Canada Pavilion, you can grab the Chocolate-Maple Whiskey Cake for $4.75 as well. We love this one year after year — it’s gooey, decadent, and chocolatey. The cake was moist and easy to cut into. It was all the best parts of dessert! 4. We’re just one short week away from the permanent closure of “It’s Tough to Be a Bug!” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and to say we’re sad is an understatement. It’s Tough to be a Bug The show – which takes place inside the Tree of Life Theater – is closing to make way for a brand new attraction, “Zootopia: Better Zoogether! We figured we would start to see changes hit this show shortly after it officially closed — but we weren’t expecting to see them before it closed! “It’s Tough to be a Bug!” will officially close at Animal Kingdom on March 17th, 2025 to make way for “Zootopia: Better Zoogether,” but it looks like Disney is wasting no time when it comes to this transformation. When we stopped by this attraction to experience it yet another time before it closes for good, we noticed something different about the 3D glasses! The iconic glasses Instead of the iconic, creepy, and crawly, bug-themed 3D glasses you typically wear when seeing this show, we were given these generic, plain ‘ol purple ones! WHAT ARE THOSE We’re not sure what happened to the bug glasses, but we didn’t realize how much we’d miss them until they were gone. If you’re heading to Animal Kingdom before March 17th, make sure you stop by this attraction one last time before it closes for good! Disney recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at “Zootopia: Better Zoogether” and we must say, we’re already getting excited! Check out Ginnifer Goodwin reprising her role as Officer Judy Hopps for the new show. ©Disney Major changes are coming to Animal Kingdom and it’s not just at the Tree of Life! DinoLand U.S.A. is being transformed into a Tropical Americas-themed land named Pueblo Esperanza and will include three brand new attractions! These attractions include an Encanto-themed attraction, a carousel, and an Indiana Jones-themed attraction. @Disney In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more updates from Animal Kingdom. 5. There’s so much happening in Disney World this year, and one announcement we feel gets pushed under the rug so much is that we’re getting a NEW nighttime parade! ©Mary Blair and the Walt Disney Animation Research Library We’ve loved all the concept art and what we’ve heard about this new spectacular, Disney Starlight, so far, and now there’s MORE news to share! Disney has just released a look at another one of the new floats coming to the parade, and it’s themed after the beloved movie Coco! While Disney is busy designing and choreographing the parade in Orlando, music for the new parade is being recorded in London, and float construction is happening all over the United States. We’re only a few months away from the debut of the new parade, and to celebrate, Disney has released the Disney Starlight: Dream The Night Away official poster! ©Disney On it, we see Elsa from Frozen, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Miguel from Coco, the Blue Fairy, Moana, and Peter Pan and Wendy featured, so now we know FOR SURE all of these characters will be featured in the nighttime parade. ©Disney But that’s not all! Disney also released concept art for the Coco float that will be featured in the parade and will feature Miguel from and center. Mariachi music will introduce the float’s arrival, and we can’t get over how colorful it is — we can’t wait to see it in person! ©Disney Disney also revealed a few details seen in existing concept art that we may not have caught before, such as that the star on the Blue Fairy’s wand will be the “first star you’ll see tonight” and guests will be invited to wish upon that star to kick off the parade. ©Disney We also know that Isabela from Encanto will swing on vines on the Encanto float, just like she does in the movie! ©Disney Finally, Disney revealed that royal court dancers will bookend the stunning Disney Starlight! Princess Float, featuring Aurora and Prince Phillip, Tiana and Prince Naveen, Belle and the Beast, and Cinderella and Prince Charming. It’ll be one of the many references to the iconic Main Street Electrical Parade. ©Disney We can’t wait to see more concept art and hear more about this gorgeous parade on the way! 6. Hello Hollywood! Hollywood Studios Hollywood Studios was Disney World’s third park to open and has seen many changes since it first opened in 1989. Recent additions include Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Soon, the park will see even more changes as tons of exciting projects are on the horizon. We want you to experience as much as possible when you visit this park, so we are sharing our 10 tricks to make your day at Hollywood Studios even better! Here is what you should keep in mind the next time you visit the park! Disney’s Hollywood Studios Make Advance Dining Reservations Advance Dining Reservations are key if you want to experience popular restaurants like Oga’s Cantina, 50’s Prime Time Cafe, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, and Roundup Rodeo BBQ. Advance Dining Reservations can be made 60 days before your trip. While some of these restaurants do offer walk-ups or Mobile Dine Walk-Up Waitlist, it is best to snag your reservations beforehand. Oga’s Cantina We’ve Eaten at Every Restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These Are the BEST. Place Your Mobile Orders Ahead of Time Speaking of dining, not only is it a good idea to make your Advance Dining Reservations, but placing Mobile Orders ahead of time are also a good idea. Woody’s Lunch Box is one of the most popular quick service spots in Hollywood Studios, and not only is there limited seating here, but Mobile Order times here can be pushed back. You can always adjust your Mobile Order times, but it can be nice to snag a good time in advance! Mobile Order window at Woody’s Lunch Box REVIEW: This Classic Hollywood Studios Meal Might Be My New Favorite Lunch Under $11 Bring Your MagicBand+ MagicBand+ is the latest MagicBand that is interactive. It lights up and vibrates and interacts with park elements and shows. Hollywood Studios is home to a ton of entertainment offerings, and you will want to make sure you have your MagicBand on if you see Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage, Fantasmic!, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!, and For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. MagicBand+ Disney World’s 6 NEWEST MagicBand+ Changes Will Make Your Trip 10x Better Your MagicBand+ can also play along in Galaxy’s Edge, where you can become a Bounty Hunter! You tap your band at the bounty board to get started Download the Play Disney Parks App If you are looking for more interactive fun in the park, you can download the Play Disney Parks app for free. This is a great way to pass time in line, play Disney trivia, and learn about the parks! ©Disney | The Play Disney Parks app is a great choice to keep you occupied! Ride Tower of Terror When There Is a 13-Minute Wait 13 may be considered an unlucky number, but when the wait time for Tower of Terror is 13 minutes, you will want to make your way over to the attraction. This is Disney’s fun way of showing that the ride is a walk-on. Tower of Terror I Have a Controversial Opinion about Hollywood Studios’ Most BELOVED Ride Refresh for More Lighting Lanes Lightning Lanes can be booked seven days in advance for Disney World hotel guests and three days in advance for all others. There are so many popular attractions in Hollywood Studios that Lightning Lanes can go fast. If you are unable to snag the Lighting Lane reservations that you want. Refresh the My Disney Experience app as more times and attractions may become available! This trick can even be applied on the day you are in the park. Lightning Lane Take Advantage of the Single Rider Line If you are looking to save time in line, it is a good idea to consider using the single rider line. Rise of the Resistance, Rock ‘n Roller Coaster, and Smuggler’s Run all offer a single rider line. It is important to note that your group will be split up, and single rider is not always available. Look out for the sign! Are Single Rider Lines ACTUALLY Any Faster in Disney World? Go to the Second Fantasmic! Showing Most nights, there are two showings of Fantasmic! In our experience, the first showing can be super crowded, and many people end up lining up before the show. In most cases, you can show up for the second showing right before it starts and still get a seat. Fantasmic! Dine at an EPCOT Area or Skyliner Hotel If you are a not a fan of the dining options at Hollywood Studios or want to get a break from the crowds, you can hop aboard the Friendship Boat or walk to one of the EPCOT area hotels for lunch or dinner. Friendship Boat You can also hop aboard the Skyliner to one of the Skyliner hotels or even the International Gateway (to get to the EPCOT area resorts via Skyliner). This is a great way to take a break from the day and get some AC. Skyliner station Score Extra Points on Toy Story Mania If you want to step up your Toy Story Mania game, you can unlock bonus points. Here are a few of our favorite tricks. On the Hamm & Eggs game, hit all of the animals in the barn by “lipping it as many times as possible. Go for the horse, chicken, and mouse, and the barn flips over! Every time you flip the barn, the points on all the other animals in the game go up for more high-scoring points! On the Rex & Trixie’s Dino Dart game, a few seconds in, three long 500-point lava balloons will fill up in front of the volcano. Pop all three! A comet will appear in the top corner of each side of the screen. You and your partner need to hit the comet three times to cause the volcano to erupt. This will unlock clusters of 500-point balloons! Toy Story Mania Make sure to keep these 10 things in mind the next time you visit Hollywood Studios! 7. Disney World is going through a lot right now! Disney’s Wilderness Lodge From major Magic Kingdom changes, to permanent closures in Animal Kingdom, and new shows coming to Hollywood Studios, it seems like the parks are hard at work. The resorts seem to be getting in on the updates too because we just noticed that a fan-favorite restaurant will be closing soon! If you’re a fan of loud dining, silly servers, and tasty food, you might be a fan of Whispering Canyon Cafe! This table-service dining option is located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Whispering Canyon has developed a reputation for chaotic but fun dining experiences but if you were hoping to enjoy one of their famous skillets soon, you might be out of luck. This table service will be closed from May 12th through May 21st, 2025! Whispering Canyon The restaurant will be undergoing some general refurbishment during its closure. This restaurant is an “all you can enjoy” spot so you can order one skillet and get your favorite bites as many times as you want while you’re dining there which is part of why it’s such a popular spot. Their breakfast, lunch, and dinner options serve up American-inspired skillets that we happen to love. The full breakfast spread! If you’re staying at Wilderness Lodge during the closure, no worries! Wilderness Lodge has some sleeper hits in Disney World like Territory Lounge, Geyser Point, Roaring Fork, and Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White to help keep you satisfied during your stay. We find ourselves spending a lot of time at this resort even when we aren’t hotel guests thanks to the proximity to Magic Kingdom and the good food. Snow White at Storybook Dining! If you’ve never dined at Whispering Canyon Cafe, it’s important to remember it isn’t for everyone! This restaurant embraces the art of “horsing around” with the Cast Members who have a reputation for being sassy with the guests. It’s all a part of the fun and the act of the restaurant so don’t be offended if they get a bit silly with you. The Carnivore skillet! We’re pretty excited to see that this refurbishment will be a short one unlike some others happening around the parks (we’re looking at you Big Thunder Mountain!) If you really want to be fussed at by your waiter for some reason, 50’s Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios will fill the void for you during this closure. 50’s Prime Time Cafe With such major Disney news happening, we tend to get a bit hungry from all of the walking so we’ll be glad to see this one reopen quickly. 8. I love Disney villains. They are iconic, classy, wicked, and absolutely delightful. Even now, as I’m writing this, I’m wearing a Disney Villains t-shirt. The Evil Queen So you can imagine how thrilled I was to learn that a Villains-themed show is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. However, I’m one of those Disney fans that has been chasing the rumors of a Villains theme park for YEARS in Disney World, and you should have heard me screaming when Disney announced it was adding a Villains land to Magic Kingdom. Well, there’s something else I need to see come to Magic Kingdom, and it ties into that new land…a Villains-themed character dining experience. Now, Disney hasn’t given us a lot of details to go on about this Villains land, except that we know it will go behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Also, we have some concept art. Seriously, we know next to nothing about what this land could have in it. But it absolutely needs a dining spot or two, right? Villains Land ©Disney So here’s another thing: You just don’t see a lot of villains running around in Disney World, unless it’s Halloween or a special occasion, like the Villains-tine event recently held at Hollywood Studios. Sometimes, you’ll see them pop up randomly, perhaps in training for those big events. In fact, there are only a few regular meet and greets in Disney World with villains, including Gaston in Magic Kingdom, Cinderella’s Evil Stepmother and Stepsisters in Magic Kingdom, and the Evil Queen at the Storybook Dining at Artist Point dining experience at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Evil Queen at Storybook Dining at Artist Point But what if there was a character dining experience where you could meet more than just one villain? Imagine having a meal and getting a chance to chat with Cruella De Vil or snap a selfie with Jafar? Imagine Maleficent hovering over your table glowering at you. Maybe Dr. Facilier comes over to your table and asks if you’d like to meet his “Friends from the Other Side.” Or Madame Mim is just flitting around insulting folks? The possiblities are ENDLESS. Dr. Facilier in EPCOT This dining experience OBVIOUSLY needs to be located in Maleficent’s castle that we see in the concept art in the new Villains land, right? Maybe you take an elevator up to the castle where you’ll also have a scenic view of the Villains land. Y’all…that would be EPIC. ©Disney As far as the menu goes, I don’t really care what the food is like, although I think I would prefer it NOT to be a buffet, but more like something at Storybook Dining at Artist Point. We’re talking elevated villains-inspired dishes with elevated character experience, you know? We also need a whole menu of cocktails and mocktails inspired by villains, too (I’ll have Yzma’s Potion, thank you very much). The Underworld Cocktail at Top of the World lounge Granted, we know that there will probably be villains wandering around and meeting guests in the new Villains land, but as most of us know, a character dining experience is a guarantee to meet them without having to wait in long lines. And I, for one, would pay more than I would ever pay for Cinderella’s Royal Table (which is $74 per adult). I would pay beaucoup bucks for some guaranteed time with some of Disney’s baddies. I love you Aurora, but I want to see Maleficent So, Disney, if you’re paying attention, I’m going to need you to get to working on that Villains restaurant and dining experience RIGHT NOW. I’m ready to make my reservation and I will give you a lot of money to meet my favorite Disney villains while munching on whatever food you offer. And I bet I’m not alone. Who’s with me? Speaking of villains, have you seen our awesome Villains-inspired “Bad to the Bow” T-shirt at the DFB Store? Bad to the Bow Stay tuned to DFB for more. 10. Walt Disney World Resort President Jeff Vahle recently spoke at the Orlando Business Journal‘s annual Power Breakfast and shared quite a bit about the parks, Cast Members, and the upcoming opening of Universal’s Epic Universe. Magic Kingdom Luckily, Vahle doesn’t seem too concerned about the impact of Epic Universe on Disney World. Universal’s brand-new theme park, Epic Universe, is opening on May 22nd, 2025 — and to say theme park fans are excited would be an understatement. We’ve been waiting for every tiny little update we can get about the upcoming park, which will be home to five new lands: Dark Universe, How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, Harry Potter and The Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, and Celestial Park. ©Universal | Epic Universe Concept Art We’ve also been curious as to how Epic Universe’s opening will impact Disney World crowds and attendance — but so far, it doesn’t seem like Disney executives are too worried about it. Magic Kingdom Jeff Vahle, president of Walt Disney World Resort, was recently asked about his thoughts on Epic Universe’s opening later this year at the Orlando Business Journal Power Breakfast, and he seemed as cool as a cucumber. While he admitted that Disney’s focus “is to remain the number one reason people visit Central Florida,” he also said, “…you have to respect the big swing that Universal is doing with Epic Universe.” ©Universal — Ministry of Magic Concept Art Vahle continued and said that Epic Universe was a huge investment in the community, and that an investment like that was “going to benefit all of us.” It’s not too surprising that Vahle and Disney would have this attitude, especially since we’ve already seen that bookings have increased at Disney World this summer. EPCOT crowds During the most recent Walt Disney Company earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger commented that Disney “anticipated some small impact for Epic Universe opening,” and went on to explain they “effectively hedged in the guidance we provided.” For now, it seems that Epic Universe’s anticipated opening is having a positive effect on Disney World’s attendance thus far. Dark Universe Concept Art ©Universal Disney has announced several ambitious new plans for its parks, including new lands like Monster’s Inc., a ‘Cars’ Land to Frontierland in Magic Kingdom, a complete overhaul of DinoLand U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park to become Pueblo Esperanza, and even a villains-themed land for Disney World. And, of course, we’ll be keeping up with it all! Villains Land ©Disney In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more updates from Disney World and Epic Universe. 12. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Melbourne has issued a wind advisory for much of Central Florida, including Orange and Osceola counties, where Disney World is located. Rain in Magic Kingdom Strong winds are expected to impact the area with gusts of up to 35 miles per hour. If you’re planning to be in the parks today, keep in mind you may be dealing with potentially severe weather. Southwest winds of 15 to 20 miles per hour are expected to impact the area on average, with some gusts reaching up to 35 miles per hour. Indian River, Martin, Saint Lucie, Volusia, Brevard, Lake, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties are all currently under this wind advisory. Tomorrowland The National Weather Service has issued this warning from 10 AM to 7 PM on Monday, March 10th, 2025. Gusty winds are expected to blow around unsecured objects, while tree limbs may be blown down, and there may be some power outages. If you’re going to be in Disney World or elsewhere in Central Florida during this advisory, make sure you keep an eye out for any potential debris. Additionally, these strong winds can make driving difficult, so if you’re traveling by car, keep your wits about you! It’s also recommended that you secure any outdoor objects. Gloomy in Disney World The NWS had previously issued a tornado warning for Clermont, Mount Dora, and Minneola earlier in the morning, but that warning expired at 9:30 AM. As of publication, there are no active tornado warnings or watches for Central Florida — but that could change at any moment, so make sure you’re keeping an eye on local weather alerts if you’re in the area. For folks at Disney World today, it’s important to remember to listen to Cast Members for any potential safety updates — as they’re trained to keep guests safe in inclement weather like this. This also serves as an important reminder that Florida’s weather can be extremely unpredictable! Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom Stay updated with local weather alerts for the most updated information, in case of any potential issues in the area. Get ready to head to Disney World this August for all of the biggest Disney news! Destination D23, not to be confused with D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, is the smaller of the annual Disney conventions hosted by D23. The previous Destination D23 was hosted at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and in 2025, we’re expecting some major changes! ©Disney This August the Disney fan event is moving over to Coronado Springs Resort and the theme is “A journey around the world of Disney.” Disney released dates, theme, and location in November 2024 but we haven’t heard much regarding the event until now. We finally know that tickets for the Destination D23 will be on sale in Spring 2025! Destination D23 in 2023 While we still don’t have exact dates, we’re ready to start planning and keeping our eye on the D23 social accounts so we can grab our tickets as soon as they’re available. D23 shared on their website that, “D23 Gold Members will be among the first to hear exciting announcements and see sneak peeks from the many worlds of Disney—and relive favorite memories with behind-the-scenes stories, special guests, and so much more.” Destination D23 stage If you’re planning on heading to this fan event, Disney has shared that there is a room block already available to book at Coronado Springs for the fan event. Members can reserve their rooms by clicking this link or calling 407.939.4686. Disney also shared that the 2025 convention will be doubling in size! Weird Disney In 2023 we got the first glimpse of the DinoLand retheme, lots of “blue sky ideas”, panels featuring the voices of Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy, sneak peeks at new Disney shows, the news that Figment’s meet-and-greet was coming to EPCOT, and so much more. This means we have high expectations for 2025! ©Disney We can’t wait to see what’s in store for us at Destination D23 in 2025! 15. We’re only a few months away from the grand opening of Universal Orlando’s NEW theme park, Epic Universe. ©Universal | Epic Universe Concept Art Epic Universe is going to be, well, EPIC, and will have five NEW themed lands that we can’t wait to wander around in. You’ll get to visit an original location, Celestial Park, which will have portals to the other four lands: How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, Dark Universe, and Super Nintendo World. But if you’ll be visiting Epic Universe, you’re going to have to know something very important: what times things will close. That’s right, you’ll basically have a curfew in Epic Universe, as well as at the restaurants at the Epic Universe hotels, so let’s talk about those closing times that we know (or can guess) so far. Epic Universe Hours So we don’t yet have the exact hours for Epic Universe, but looking at the April 2025 calendar for both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, we see that the hours are from 9 AM to 9 PM for both parks. We’re going to go out on a limb here and say we expect Epic Universe’s hours to be about the same. ©Universal Now, granted, Universal could surprise us and have an earlier opening for Epic Universe and even have it open later than the other theme parks (especially since we’re sure they’re going to want to show off that fancy nighttime lighting in Celestial Park), but for now, the hours for this park will probably be the same as the other two parks. FULL List of Attractions With Single Rider Lines at Epic Universe Cosmos Cafe and Market Hours Now that Universal Stella Nova is open, we can also know what the hours are for the restaurants there. We spoke with a Team Member at Universal who told us that the hours for Cosmos Cafe and Market are from 7 AM to 11 PM, giving you a chance to grab breakfast before you hit Epic Universe. Cosmos Cafe and Market You’ll also be able to grab dinner or a snack at Cosmos Cafe and Market after you leave Epic Universe, so that will come in handy. REVIEW: We’re Still Daydreaming About the Breakfast Options at Universal’s NEW Hotel Restaurant Galaxy Bar and Galaxy Grill Hours That same Team Member also told us Galaxy Bar and Galaxy Grill would be open from 5 PM to 11 PM, although we think he might have been referring to Galaxy Bar. We expect Galaxy Grill to be open a little earlier, but we don’t have confirmation of that. Galaxy Bar However, that means you will be able to grab a drink and a bite to eat at this location for a few hours after Epic Universe closes, too. We Tried the NEW Galaxy Bar and Grill at Universal’s Stella Nova Hotel Knowing when everything closes will help you plan out your day in Epic Universe, but it will also help you decide if you want to wait and grab a late dinner at your hotel, too (or breakfast before the day begins). Note that if you are wanting to be out even later, Universal’s CityWalk is open until 1 AM, so you can get some nightlife in if that’s your thing (or grab a late snack or dinner). 17. Okay, let’s face it. When compared to Disney World’s other theme parks, the food at Magic Kingdom is…well…it’s just okay. Pecos Bill Now, don’t get us wrong, Skipper Canteen is one of our favorite Disney World restaurants, but beyond that, unless we want a Cheshire Cat Tail or one of those famous cinnamon rolls at Gaston’s tavern, finding a good meal in Magic Kingdom, especially at a quick service restaurant is difficult. However, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe changed their menu last year, and things were starting to look up. Well, we just revisited Pecos Bill and we think that Magic Kingdom might FINALLY have a decent — if not really good — quick service restaurant now! Yes, we’re back at Pecos Bill to see if things are continuing to improve there. We started with the Southwest Caesar Salad made with Romaine tossed in Creamy Salsa Verde Dressing, Pepitas, Queso Fresco, Pico de Gallo, and Tortilla Strips for $12.99. You can also add Citrus-Chipotle Chicken, Cherry BBQ Cola Pork, or Green Chile Beef for an additional $0.50. This salad continues to surprise us. The dressing is really what makes it — because it’s salsa verde based, it’s different than anything we’ve had before. Southwest Caesar Salad The salad itself is good, but for us, the loads of dressing on it just makes it even better. We also liked the crunchy pepitas and tortilla strips. We got chicken with ours, and it just worked beautifully. This is a salad we would order again. We’re going to put it at the top of the list for our fave Magic Kingdom salad. Best Magic Kingdom salad We also ordered the Double Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger for $16.19. It comes with Two Flame-broiled All-Beef Patties topped with American Cheese, Bacon, and Coca-Cola Cherry Barbecue Sauce served with Barbecue-Cheddar Seasoned Fries. Well, this one surprised us, too. The burger is tender and juicy. Our biggest complaint, though, is that we really wanted more of that Coca-Cola Cherry Barbecue sauce. However, this was still a solidly good burger. Double Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger You also get a decent amount of fries, so it’s a hefty meal. The seasoning on the fries is also PERFECT. Now, there are better burgers and fries to be had in Disney World, but if you’re hungry in Magic Kingdom, this is a good choice, especially if you might have picky eaters in your group. Love the fries seasoning So the next time you find yourself in Magic Kingdom looking for a quick meal, don’t pass over Pecos Bill. With DOZENS of places to eat at Disney World, we know it can be tough to plan your meals. That’s why we wrote the DFB Guide to Dining at Walt Disney World. 18. Who’s the fairest of them all? This may be the most iconic Disney Villain line of all time, and we’re about to hear it AGAIN in the live-action Snow White. ©Disney The movie is set to open on March 21st, and ahead of that opening, Regal Cinemas is already celebrating with a new popcorn bucket. However, we’re just going to tell you now…we’re questioning this popcorn bucket (although we will probably still want it). Regal Cinemas will be releasing a Heartbox popcorn container…and if you know anything about the Snow White story, you’ll know what the heartbox was initially intended for in the movie. But now, instead of Snow White’s human heart, you can get it filled with popcorn because why not? ©Regal Cinemas If you’re too creeped out about eating popcorn out of the heartbox container, you can grab a specialty collector’s cup and tin combo instead featuring Snow White and the Evil Queen (granted, the tin also has the heartbox container on it). ©Regal Cinemas Regal also shared a new look at some Funko Pops that are being released to celebrate the new film. There’s a Snow White Funko Pop… ©Regal Cinemas …and an Evil Queen Funko Pop. ©Regal Cinemas Be sure to catch the live-action Snow White in theaters on March 21st. We’ll let you know if we spot any other collectibles for the movie, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Click here to Subscribe! 19. There’s a reason why some of the EPCOT World Showcase pavilions rarely change their menu items, and this unique snack is living proof! Chermoula Chicken EPCOT is home to some incredible restaurants, snacks, and quick bites that make up all of its lands and World Showcase pavilions. When you’re really looking for some eats that you just can’t seem to enjoy anywhere else in Disney World, EPCOT is certainly the place to turn. We recently rediscovered a snack that’s been around for a while, and we have to admit, it hasn’t lost its charm yet! We recently made our way over to EPCOT for a full day of exploring and decided we wanted to pick up a snack along our route. We already know there’s a wide variety of snacks, quick-service meals, and even grab-and-go options to satisfyour hunger, but on this particular day, we were feeling extra adventurous. As we made our way around to the Morocco Pavilion in the World Showcase, we decided to stop by Tangierine Cafe for a quick bite! Tangierine Café This hole-in-the-wall cafe is nestled inside the front buildings, welcoming you into Morocco. The inside of the restaurant is decorated with intricate mosaic tile, while the sounds of Arabian music fill the space. This spot is known for its Mediterranean small plates of chicken or lamb Kebabs or Stone-Baked Moroccan Bread served with dips. Tangierine Cafe menu So, we hopped in line and placed our order for a Chermoula Chicken Kebab. This dish is made of grilled chicken tossed in spices served with Carrot-Chickpea Salad and Garlic Aïoli for $6.25. Chermoula Chicken Kebab We were actually quite surprised by this one — in a good way. We thought the chicken was well-tossed in the spices with a very mild heat that didn’t bother our taste buds in an off-putting way. In fact, we really enjoyed the slight heat to the tender chicken, and the garlic aïoli drizzled on top of the bites of chicken were a great zesty addition. The carrot-chickpea salad even had a few raisins in it, adding a little sweetness to it, which we really appreciated. Chermoula Chicken Kebab Overall, this could serve as a great snack to grab and take with you, sit for a quick break, or pick up as a way to tide you over before a bigger, more filling meal. While it’s not a complicated snack, it gets the job done and seems to be a crowd-pleaser, so there’s no wonder it’s one of the items served here most of the year. If you happen to visit EPCOT during the Flower and Garden Festival, be warned the kebabs might look a little different for the season! 20. Some BIG things are coming to Magic Kingdom. Frontierland is getting a Cars expansion. A new villains land is going behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which is currently getting a long refurbishment and potential upgrade. AND a Pirates of the Caribbean tavern is coming to Adventureland. ©Disney Yes, you will soon be able to lounge in a space dedicated to making you feel like you’re a pirate that’s themed around this classic Disney attraction. Now, this new tavern will be replacing what was once the Pirates League, and now, the tavern is one step closer to opening: a new permit has been filed by Disney to replace the Pirates League sign with the new tavern sign! Disney filed a permit with Orange County, Florida for 4873 Caribbean Way #B, which is what is an address next to Pirates of the Caribbean. Now, usually, when we get something new like this, the permit is to “install signage.” But this permit is to “refurbish signage,” suggesting that the sign that’s still hanging over The Pirates League will be re-used and re-made into a sign for the new tavern. ©Orange County, FL To be specific, it’s been widely assumed that the tavern will occupy both the Pirates League area and part of the Plaza del Sol Caribe gift shop, at least as far as we can tell from construction progress. Construction progress Disney recently posted a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at work being done inside the tavern, which is scheduled to open sometime in late 2025 (yep, THIS YEAR). This tavern, inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean, will welcome folks of all ages with a variety of food and drinks, although Disney has also promised some “magical surprises.” Disney also confirmed that the space would become the new home for Barker Bird. ©Disney We’ll be keeping an eye on construction and looking for that refurbished sign, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 22. Magic Kingdom’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is closed throughout the year, and it’s got us thinking, “Why so long?” Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Disney World is no stranger to working on projects and refurbishments for a long period of time. Often, it can take years after a project announcement until we FINALLY see the finished project. In the case of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad’s year-long closure, we might have an idea as to why the ride needs to be closed for a year. Initially labeled as Beyond Big Thunder Mountain, Villains Land is supposed to be constructed in close proximity to the “wildest ride in the wilderness.” Many speculate that the year-long closure could be a direct result of the upcoming Villains Land construction. While that’s certainly possible, history has shown us there might be another reason as to why the ride won’t be available for at least a year. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad When comparing Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, many would say that Disneyland’s version has the slight advantage. That ride in Anaheim has a more updated track, as well as fun pyrotechnic effects on the third lift hill. Disneyland’s version of the ride featured these upgrades beginning in March 2014, but they didn’t come without a significant closure. Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland In order to install new effects, a new track, new scenery, new ride vehicles, and an upgraded ride experience, Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland was closed from January 2013 into March 2014. A lengthy refurbishment that lasted over a year — sound familiar? Big Thunder Mountain Construction We’ve already seen track removed at Magic Kingdom’s Big Thunder Mountain, and the timeline fitting coincidentally alongside the big refurbishment of the Disneyland attraction is yet another tip that Magic Kingdom could be using this year-long closure to make sure the Disney World Big Thunder Mountain Railroad catches up to (or even surpasses) the updated experience of the Disneyland ride. Construction Disneyland’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is an incredible experience, and the ride is arguably better than ever, thanks to its lengthy refurbishment. If Magic Kingdom’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is undergoing the same changes, then this time-consuming closure will be worth it. Sure, we shed a tear because we are unable to ride this amazing attraction every visit, but if it means we get a superior version of the ride, then it’s an easier pill to swallow. 23. MORE changes are on the way for Disney Cruise Line soon! Disney Cruise Line! Disney Cruise Line has a LOT of news and updates, and the news just keeps on coming. With even MORE Disney Cruise Line ships set to join the fleet later this year with the Disney Destiny AND Disney Adventure, it would make sense that Disney is looking for ways to improve and streamline some of its boarding processes. We knew to expect a change to a staple offering before you board your next Disney cruise, but it seems there are a few new changes you’ll need to take note of before you set sail. We can feel the excitement radiating from you as your next Disney Cruise Line sailing approaches, BUT there’s a slight change that could affect how you get yourself (and, more importantly, your things) on board.Disney Cruise Line previously announced that changes were coming to its luggage tags for sailings back in January. These changes were designed to streamline the process of getting you onboard. Disney Wish at Castaway Cay More specifically, this new process includes a few changes to the luggage tags that consist of printed stateroom numbers (for those that already know before sailing), color coordination tags specific to your ship, and even designated tags with concierge symbols for concierge stateroom sailors. ©Disney More recently, though, Disney has followed up with a slight adjustment to the initial announcement a few months back that outlines the redesigned Luggage Tag Mailers (which are typically sent to you prior to your sailing). These new luggage tags will now be approximately the size of a double-sided mailer postcard, and will also contain the ship name, itinerary, sail dates, port arrival time, stateroom number (if available), and stateroom guest(s) names printed on the mailer, and a QR code will also be included which will prompt you to log in and view additional port arrival information on the online Guest Travel Booklet. However, if you don’t happen to receive your luggage tags in advance (or leave them behind as you’re packing up all the things to go), you can always visit the porters at the port to get new ones made for your luggage. Luggage outside of your stateroom door So, what exactly is this Guest Travel Booklet? Glad you asked! This informational booklet about your upcoming sailing details is now completely online and includes details to help you reach your ship more easily. They will feature things like the port’s address, luggage tag information, citizenship documentation, My Online Check-In, what to pack, and much more. The new online Guest Travel Booklet will appear when you scan the Luggage Tag Mailer’s QR code by visiting www.DisneyCruise.com/LuggageTagMailer or on the Disney Cruise Line website by clicking Already Booked > My Reservations and clicking on the Get Details under Before You Can Board. 24. In 2025, we’re seeing a LOT of changes to Disney World. New shows, new lounges, and saying goodbye to some of our favorite things as well. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Disney’s Hollywood Studios is right there in the mix of the change as this summer two shows will be opening, Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure. We are also seeing the closure of Muppet’s Courtyard as we make way for the new Monsters Inc area that is coming. But, there’s a change that will happen in the upcoming months that will impact Fantasmic! Specifically, we will see changes to the the Fantasmic! Dining Package. This offers a meal at a participating restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios AND reserved seating for a showing of the popular Fantasmic! Nighttime Spectacular. Guest’s choice of 50s Prime Time Cafe, Sci-Fi Dine In Theater Restaurant, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, Hollywood & Vine, and The Hollywood Brown Derby Fantasmic! However, the last day you’ll be able to dine at Mama Melrose’s will be on May 10th. This is because the Monster’s Inc. area will begin construction. With one less restaurant to go to for the dining package, it will become even more difficult to grab this reservation. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano 60 days in advance of your Disney World vacation, you can make dining reservations and this is where you can reserve the Fantasmic! Dining Package as well. It is labeled separately from a dining reservation at one of the participating restaurants. In addition to dinner, you will get reserved seating for the show so that you don’t have to wait in a long line to grab a seat. It’s kind of a win-win, especially if you were going to dine at one of these locations anyway. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant When Monsters Inc area does open in the years to come, it appears HarryHausen’s, a restaurant featured in the film, will take over the area of Mama Melrose’s. Could this restaurant become part of the Fantasmic! Dining Package? Possibly, although it hasn’t been confirmed by Disney that this will be an actual restaurant. We’re really hoping it will be though! Close-Up Look at the New Restaurants Coming to Disney World’s Monsters, Inc. 25. Excuse us, Disney, but how dare you make all kinds of big Parks announcements over the weekend? Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Our minds are BLOWN by everything Disney recently revealed at its panel at the SXSW conference this year. Sure, we knew about some of the big expansions coming to the parks, but Disney has given us first looks at attractions, timelines of things coming to the parks, and more. Well, Disney confirmed something ELSE at SXSW (yep, the news just keeps on coming). A brand new Star Wars animatronic will be arriving in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World and Disneyland. During the SXSW panel, The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau, took to the stage with Disney Imagineers to talk about some what Imagineers have been working on for the parks. One of those pieces of tech includes a brand new animatronic Anzellan. Now, the first Anzellan was Babu Frik, who first appeared in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. This guy is of the same species and like Babu Frik, he specializes in droid repair. Here’s what the new animatronic looks like. ©SXSW This spicy little fellow has also been in The Mandalorian TV show and will also appear in The Mandalorian and Grogu movie. However, you can soon see this little guy up close because he’s also going to be putting in appearances at Disney Parks, along with the cute little BDX droids we can’t stop being obsessed with. ©SXSW So you’ll want to keep an eye out for this new animatronic. Disney has not yet revealed when he will turn up, but we’ll keep an eye out for an announcement, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
