A whole new collection of treats just burst on the scene at Disney World!

Looks delicious!

This February in Disney World, we’re finding all kinds of tasty new treats and savory selections! What’s with all the new snacks? Disney is hosting the Celebrate Soulfully event for Black History Month. Not only did we get a chance to finally taste some of Tiana’s Famous Beignets, but we also found a milkshake we went BANANAS for! However, our hunt to try them all wasn’t over, so we found ourselves looking for a dino-bite snack!

We popped over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to try out one of its latest treats!

The sweet treat we were after this time can be found at Dino-Bite Snacks in Dinoland U.S.A., right next door to Restaurantosaurus (the resident quick service restaurant for this land). This spot is a bit tucked away, so look for the shiny metal building and you’ll be in the right spot. Just follow the sign to “EAT HERE!”

It didn’t take long for us to spot the sign for the NEW Peach Cobbler Mini Cake. It’s available February 1st through 29th and was inspired by a recipe featured in What Mrs. Fisher Knows About Old Southern Cooking, the first cookbook by an African American author. How fun!

Just what we’re looking for!

We picked up this treat for $8.79. It is made of vanilla cake, cinnamon-caramel-peach filling, and oat streusel topping served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Peach Cobbler Mini Cake

This treat’s a bit on the melty side, so you won’t want to waste too much time before you dig in! If you like traditional cobbler, you’ll DEFINITELY like this one. It has the same “crust” as a baked cobbler with that oat streusel topping, but once you dig your spoon through that layer, you get sweet peaches and a buttery vanilla cake.

It’s a bit melty

The cake is really the best part of this snack — it’s moist, crumbles easily, and adds so much butter flavor. And, of course, you can’t have a cobbler without vanilla ice cream! This treat is served warm, so be warned because the ice cream starts melting right away and infuses the layers beneath it with creaminess and a silky texture.

The cake!

Disney tends to pile on the toppings, and we are a bit surprised this one doesn’t have some sort of sauce drizzle on top, but we’re glad they showed restraint here. Sometimes, simple is best.

Warm, gooey, and full of flavor!

Additional flavors would have detracted from this treat. Without the ice cream, we would have found the serving size on the small side for the price, but it’s a good price for what you get with the big scoop of vanilla on top. Overall, we were impressed by this treat and would order it again. Now that’s a WIN!
