Menu

Over at El Artista Hambriento, you’ll find four different menu items. The best part? Most of these items are new this year!

El Artista Hambriento Menu

There are a total of two food options to enjoy and three different drinks. And since most of them are now, we basically bought this whole menu. Let’s check it out!

Eats

First up, we grabbed the Carne Asada. Now, we’ve seen this in year’s past, but it’s ingredients are new this year. It’s made with Chipotle-marinated beef sirloin, grilled queso fresco, Nopales salad with queso fresco foam and chicharron dust. You can grab it for $10.50.

The meat was very tender, but the grilled queso fresco was the best part of this. It added a really deliciously cheesy flavor to the whole thing.

We also grabbed the other option, the Tostada de Langosta for $8. This is Chilled Lobster with Chipotle Aïoli, Onions, and Mango on a Fried Corn Tortilla with Guacamole, Shredded Cabbage, and Hot Sauce.

Tostada de Langosta

This was AMAZING. One of the best things we’ve eaten today! The lobster and the aioli work really well together and there’s a bit of spice that’s not overwhelming. The guac was really fresh and the cabbage added a nice crunch to it all.

But of course, we also had to get some drinks!

Drinks

And we couldn’t forget the drinks! The Rubí Delicioso Margarita is $16.50 and made of Tromba Blanco Tequila, Lejay Blackcurrant Liqueur, citrus, mint, spicy agave, and beet juice. This is a new addition this year, and we can’t wait to try it.

All the tequila kind of fell to the bottom with this one and we had to stir it up, but it was an interesting mix of flavors. The beet juice flavor is definitely there, but the spicy agave is what stands out most. It kind of burns a little as it goes down your throat.

Rubí Delicioso Margarita

The other new drink this year is the Smokey Banana Bliss Margarita (yes, that says banana). It’s $15.50 and made of Ten to One Rum, Ilegal Mezcal Joven, banana purée, and lime juice.

This was absolutely delicious! The banana flavor is really strong because it’s puree instead of just a syrup. There’s a hint of smokiness and a bit of rum, but it’s mostly banana coming through. We really loved this drink!

You can also have the Mexican Craft Beer, which is 6 oz. for $6 or 12 oz for $11.

So what did we think of Mexico overall?

OVERALL

Mexico loves to knock it out of the park with festival booths, and this year was no exception! We really enjoyed almost everything, but the banana margarita and the tostada really stood out. We would recommend those over and over again!

If you’re in the mood for some GOOD food and drinks, Mexico certainly didn’t let us down!

That’s all for this booth, but there’s so much more to explore!
