Pastoral Palate Menu

Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!

Eats

First up, we grabbed the Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib with parsnip purée, broccolini, baby tomatoes, and balsamic glaze. This dish costs $8.75 and is DDP Snack Eligible. We’ve loved this dish for a long time, and this year is no different!

Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib

The beef short rib is so tender you can cut it like butter. It has amazing flavor that is only accented by the savory sauce, hearty veggies, and the creamy mashed potatoes. If you’ve loved the beef at the Canada pavilion during the Food and Wine Festival, this one is a top competitor. It’s seriously, delicious.

Now it’s time for dessert! We got the Black Forest Cake, which is chocolate mousse with morello cherries and chantilly cream. This costs $4.75, and it’s also DDP Snack Eligible. This cake was new last year, and we thought it was a super tasty blend of chocolate and cherry flavors.

Black Forest Cake

Chocolate fans, you need to watch out — this cake might be your new all-time favorite dessert. It’s soft and moist, rich and chocolatey. It’s so easy cut through (if you choose not to eat it all in one bite). And the tangy cherries pair perfectly with it. It’s the ultimate chocolate covered cherry.

Drinks

In terms of drinks at this booth, we got the the Frozen Rosé costs $7 on its own or you can purchase as part of the “A Play on Rosé” flight.

Like most frozen food and drink items in Florida, this melts very quickly. But that doesn’t take away from how good it is. It is very similar to the frozen wines you can get at the France pavilion, but it has a hint of tartness. It’s certainly tasty.

Frozen Rosé

You can also get the “A Play on Rosé” Flight, which costs $11 and comes with a tasting portion of 3 Daughters Brewing Rosé Hard Cider, 81Bay Brewing Co. Rosé Blonde Ale, and Frozen Rosé. Individually, the Cider and Ale cost $5.75 for a 6 oz pour and $9.75 for a 12 oz pour. We’ve loved this flight in the past!

Also available at this booth is the Marietta Old Vine Rosé for $5.50.

OVERALL

This booth might just make our Best of the Fest list this year. It has some fantastic options! We would get this meal and dessert every day of the festival. And you can’t go wrong with a flight of rosé. This is a must stop booth, for sure.
