Country Bear Jamboree Country Bear Jamboree is changing in a BIG way, and now we know when the new, updated show will debut! Disney Imagineers are updating the Country Bear Jamboree show in Magic Kingdom with “an all-new act.” The bears are going to be singing Disney songs in NEW styles, like pop-country, rockabilly, and bluegrass! The show will close on January 27th, 2024, for refurbishment, and it’ll reopen with the updated show THIS SUMMER, 2024. ©Disney The updates are inspired by the Opry-style shows of Nashville, Tennessee. In fact, Nashville musicians are helping out with the arrangements! One of the songs we know we’ll see is a new version of “Bare Necessities” in a rockabilly style. The new show will include easter eggs throughout that nod to the previous show. Country Bear Jamboree Check out this behind-the-scenes video of Disney Cast Members recording some of the music: Country Bear Jamboree is one of the last attractions that Walt Disney was personally involved in creating, and it’s been part of Magic Kingdom since 1971.
