Cinderella Castle From stays at Deluxe Resorts to meals at signature restaurants, Disney offers quite a few luxury experiences. But if you’re heading to Disney World for the new year, then there’s one incredibly expensive addition you might want to know about! Disney’s introducing a new one-night event at the Contemporary Resort — Alice’s Whimsical World of Wonderland! This New Year’s Eve party will take place at California Grill, and the price tag is a whopping $799 to attend. California Grill So what exactly does this pricey experience entail? Well, for starters, you’ll be able to interact with some very rare characters. Disney says the following: “Get your camera ready: you’ll come face-to-face with The Doorknob in the entryway. Then, keep your eyes peeled for Alice, The Mad Hatter, and The March Hare in the Dining Room. You may also get a chance to wave hello to Dinah the Hat Lady—but beware of the Queen of Hearts! It will surely be a merry party, complete with custom-crafted cocktails.” Alice in EPCOT The party also includes the White Rabbit as the DJ for the evening. And of course, you’ll ring in the new year with a champagne toast. Disney encourages partygoers to come dressed in their festive best! But the real star of the night? The menu! Check out the lineup of eats that awaits: Chilled Appetizer Station Chilled Seafood Bar Caviar Wagyu Beef Tartare Ice Wine Winter Salad Wood-Burning Station Fungi Pizza Bianca Pizza California Grill Sushi Station Maki Sashimi Nigiri A collection of original sushi creations Hot Seafood Station Adobo Marinated Octopus Lobster Ravioli Seared Ahi Tuna From the Grill and Rotisserie Pork Belly “Porchetta” Royal Beef Tenderloin Roasted Duck 2 Ways The kitchen Sweet Treats from the Pastry Chefs at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Pavlova Lemon-Thyme Shortbread Blackberry Lavender Tart Strawberry and Blackberry Mousse That’s not even all of it! There will be more food available as you wander through the restaurant, dining at “food stations inspired by Lewis Carroll’s imaginative stories.” Our Table Setting When it’s time for the New Year’s fireworks, you’ll be able to watch them light up the sky at Magic Kingdom from California Grill’s private viewing deck. The event runs from 7:30PM to 12:30AM, but you can check in as early as 7PM. Fireworks from California Grill It sounds like a stellar party, but is it really worth the nearly $800 price tag?
