Disney4me
The holidays have arrived in Disney World — and we are HERE FOR IT. Magic Kingdom during the holidays The decorations have us bubbling over with joy. We’ve already bought a TON of holiday merchandise. We’re already working on our holiday shopping list. We’re SO ready to check out Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Jollywood Nights, and the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. But let’s take a moment to slow down for a bit. Because of all this holiday excitement, we almost missed a fun detail with the holiday decorations in Magic Kingdom. Fun fact: we’ve been marveling at Disney’s holiday decorations for YEARS (no, really, you can read a throwback post HERE to see how far back our love of the holiday season goes). So, we recently took a moment to wander around Magic Kingdom and admire the details that so many people miss. Many of the holiday wreaths in the park actually have their own themes! The holiday decorations on Cinderella Castle, for example, have a super neat detail: they feature little glass slippers. Glass slippers! Meanwhile, over in Fantasyland, Gaston’s Tavern has a wreath…with mirrors on it so Gaston can look at himself even in his holiday decorations. Okay, that is ON POINT, Disney. Gaston has to check himself in the mirror. Over at Bonjour! Village Gifts, the decorations look like they belong inside the Beast’s castle! Of course, there are also a few roses on the garland. How pretty! Inside the shop, the decorations feature grapes, flowers, and lots of greenery. It’s so classic and timeless, don’t you think? Grapes? The wreaths near Jingle Cruise match the ride perfectly. Come on — it’s a life-preserver ring turned WREATH! That’s brilliant. Jingle Cruise Seriously, how fun is this? It’s the perfect blend of holiday cheer and the Jungle Cruise. We love it! Inside Crystal Palace, we spotted some fruit and pastel-colored flowers. Lemon slices? The wreaths at Casey’s Corner have baseballs on them, which is SO appropriate. ON POINT The wreaths at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor have ice cream cones. Hello, what else did you expect? Ice cream cones! Check out this detail on the Main Street Bakery wreath: it’s a muffin and a cup of coffee. PERFECT. We love it! The decor inside Uptown Jewelers looks VERY fancy, which also tracks. Very bougie Inside Main Street Confectionery, the wreaths have old-fashioned ornaments and candies on them to match the vintage candy display. Old-fashioned ornaments and candy So, if you’re visiting Disney World for the holidays, take a moment from the rush that comes with being in the parks to admire the level of detail you’ll find in the decorations there. Trust us — you don’t want to miss all these amazing little details that add just an extra bit of magic to the season.
