There’s one food booth at the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival that you might visit even if you aren’t going to buy anything off the menu.

2022 Pineapple Promenade Outdoor Kitchen

The Pineapple Promenade outdoor kitchen has a spicy hot dog, DOLE Whip, and lots of drinks on the menu, but it’s also the place where you can pick up your free prize after completing the Garden Graze food stroll around the festival. Come along with us to check out the full menu and see whether you should stick to just the free prize or also pick up some other eats while you’re there.

Menu

Over at the Pineapple Promenade, you can find a Spicy Hot Dog with Pineapple Chutney and Plantain Chips along with a plant-based DOLE Whip.

To drink, there are a couple of nonalcoholic options, including the Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade and DOLE Whip with Fanta. Alcoholic options include the 3 Daughters Brewing Tropical Hefe, BrewDog Hazy Jane IPA, Urban Artifact Teak Tropical American Fruit Tart, Playalinda Brewing Company Violet Lemonade Ale, Florida Orange Groves Winery Sparkling Pineapple Wine, and DOLE Whip topped with Sōmrus Mango Cream Liqueur. You can also order a Pineapple Beer Flight to sample a few different drinks.

Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!

Eats

First up, we grabbed the Spicy Hot Dog with Pineapple Chutney and Plantain Chips for $8which we’ve had before. The sweetness from the pineapple chutney goes really well with that spicy hot dog, and the plantain chips add a great crunch!

Spicy Hot Dog with pineapple chutney and plantain chips

This year, this was one of the SPICIEST things we tried. The bun and hot dog were pretty basic and it was the toppings that really made this a stand-out item. We got a nice sweetness from the pineapple that helped with the spice, and the plantain chips added some welcome crunch to what would have otherwise been a very soft snack.

We also tried the returning DOLE Whip for $6. This is a classic pineapple DOLE Whip, which needs no introduction. It’s just like the ones you’ll find at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom — fruity, creamy, and delicious.

Pineapple Promenade is the completer booth for the Garden Graze. The Garden Graze is a food stroll around the festival. You can pick up a Festival Passport at the front of the park and find instructions inside. There are eleven plant-based eats on the list of qualifying snacks, and you must purchase five of them to complete the stroll. Make sure to get your Passport stamped each time you buy one of the snacks! Once you’ve collected five stamps, you can head to the Pineapple Promenade booth to pick up a free treat as a prize.

Dessert Prize AND a Wildflower Mix!

This year, the completer prize is the same as in 2022 — a Lime DOLE Whip!

Drinks

In terms of drinks at this booth, we got the returning Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade, which is nonalcoholic. You can get it for $4.50. We’ve had this drink before and thought that it wasn’t too sweet but was still very flavorful with slight floral notes. It was just as delicious this year and we will certainly be coming back to enjoy this throughout the festival! You also can’t deny it’s stunning (and very Instagrammable!).

We also tried the Pineapple Beer Flight for $10.00. This flight features three different pineapple bears each with its own taste notes. Overall we enjoyed it, but the Urban Artifact Teak Tropical American Fruit Tart beer was VERY tart. Like screw-up-your-face tart. The other two beers were pleasant and refreshing!

You can also get these beers separately in two different cup sizes. The 3 Daughters Brewing Tropical Hefe, the BrewDog Hazy Jane IPA, and the Urban Artifact Teak Tropical American Fruit Tart, are all $5.50 for a 6oz cup and $9.50 for a 120z.

Previously, we tried the Violet Lemonade Ale and thought that it had a little bit of a fruity flavor, which mixed well with the slightly sour ale. You can get it this year for $5.50 for a 6oz cup and $9.50 for a 120z.

The DOLE Whip with mango cream liqueur was new last year, and we thought this one was a much sweeter option than some of the other drinks when we tried it in 2022! The classic tropical treat had an even more tropical addition and was one of our favorite treats at the festival. You can get it this year for $12.00.

The Florida Orange Groves Winery Sparkling Pineapple Wine is $12.00 for a cup and $32.00 for a bottle, and it had a strong pineapple flavor when we tried it last year and was very sweet.

Overall

This booth is a favorite for a reason! Of course, there’s the appeal of a classic DOLE Whip, but that hot dog was a surprise favorite for us, and we love that there are a wide variety of beverages to try. Plus, if you don’t want to commit to just one of their beer offerings, you have the option to purchase the flight and taste test each one! Fun fact: the edible flowers served at this booth are grown right there in EPCOT over at The Land, so be sure to check out Living With The Land after trying out Pineapple Promenade.
