As veteran Disney World travelers may know, there are tons of reasons why you may need to adjust your park day plans on the fly. Whether it’s an unexpected ride closure, a last-minute dining reservation, or a desperate need to return to the room for a nap, flexibility is key in making sure you and your family stay happy — and safe — during your vacation.

And, since it is Florida, one of the most common wild cards that can throw a wrench into your original plans is the weather.

Pop-up thunderstorms are common, especially during the summer months. But other times, we get a bit more advanced notice when stormy weather is headed our way. And if you’ll be in Disney World this weekend, this one is for you!

Click Orlando has reported that severe weather is possible in Central Florida on Saturday afternoon and early evening before colder air and wind move into the area on Sunday.

According to the news outlet, isolated thunderstorms are expected to begin between 1PM and 2PM today, some of which may be strong. Storm chances will then increase further as an expected line of storms moves in from the Gulf of Mexico late Saturday afternoon and early evening.

The most severe threats are expected between 2PM and 8PM today, so be sure to keep a close eye on the radar in the Disney World area and be prepared to adjust your plans as needed.
