When we say “tacos in Disney World,” we’re willing to bet that most people think of the same place — the Mexico pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase! It’s true that you can find some amazing tacos over there, but we’re looking in a DIFFERENT spot for today’s lunch.

EPCOT

Should you venture off the beaten path or stick to what you know when it comes to tacos in EPCOT? We’re about to find out — come along with us to try NEW fish tacos at Sunshine Seasons.

In September, Disney announced several new dishes coming to the parks and hotels. One of those was the Fish Tacos at Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT. These tacos are made with tilapia fish, fire-roasted corn salsa, creamy jalapeño Piri Piri sauce, and radish, accompanied by plantain chips. They’re available every day before 4PM.

Fish Tacos

All other tacos in Disney World need to watch out, because these were delicious! The fish was perfectly flaky with a little bit of crispiness on the outside. It wasn’t dry at all — there was so much sauce on each taco that it was practically impossible for them to taste too dry.

Yum!

That Piri Piri sauce mixed with the corn salsa added a pretty strong kick to this dish, so if you really don’t like spice then you may want to try something different. However, we thought it wasn’t too strong, and the flavor was excellent.

As they were seriously loaded with sauce, the tacos did fall apart a bit after they’d been sitting for a minute.

Lots of flavor

If you’re looking for a healthier lunch option in EPCOT that still packs a TON of flavor, we think this is a great choice! However, if you’re really not a fan of spice or are super hungry, you may want to go for a different meal. The spice was pretty strong, and you only get 2 fairly small tacos in this dish.

These pack a punch!

If you want to try out the Fish Tacos, you can get them now at Sunshine Seasons for $12.29. But don’t forget that there are a lot of other new and limited-time eats in EPCOT right now, both for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month and for EPCOT’s 40th Anniversary!

Flaky fish

The nice thing about Sunshine Seasons is that it’s a counter service restaurant, so you won’t need reservations. And because it’s located in the spacious Land Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Nature, you are almost guaranteed a table in the large dining area. That might give it an edge over the restaurants at the Mexico Pavilion in World Showcase, which don’t have quite as much seating available.
