Disney4me
Everyone’s got to make a living — even people (and creatures) in a galaxy far, far away. Coaxium regulators don’t grow on trees, after all! Now that the Star Wars hotel is open to guests, we’re sure you have a TON of questions, which is why we’re here to help! We might not be as knowledgeable as C-3PO (we still can’t calculate the odds of successfully navigating an asteroid field), but we do know the ins and outs of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser! Welcome to the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser! From the loaded questions like “Is this experience worth the money?” to the simple questions like “Are there french fries in space?” we have answers to ALL your burning questions! Today, though, we’re tackling a different question: Do Star Wars characters accept tips? The Star Wars hotel is often compared to a cruise ship experience. Guests board the Galactic Starcruiser and remain on board for a mutli-day experience, with one excursion to Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Welcome aboard! When you arrive at the hotel with your sweet pair of wheels, you might hand the keys over to a friendly valet. While you’re out and about, saving the galaxy and such, you might come back to a room with some fresh towels. Can you leave your crew members a tip? Yes, there is housekeeping in space Well, straight from the source, here’s the answer: YES! Disney states that your vacation package (you know, that hefty $6,000 you forked over) covers the gratuities for food service, but that’s it. ©Disney If you would like to tip the housekeeping crew members, valet, or maybe a bell services crew member, you can — just make sure to do it at the time of service. Cast Members can help with luggage, too! Unlike a traditional cruise, where tips are collected at the end of the voyage, Disney recommends giving your tip to the Cast Member at the time of service. Make sure to bring some cash — last we checked, Star Wars characters aren’t trading crypto yet. When people say their Ethereum is going “straight to the moon,” they’re talking about a moon in another galaxy. Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser During our stay on the Halcyon (that’s the name of the Starcruiser), we found the Cast Members to be friendly, welcoming, and SUPER helpful. It felt like the characters took the time to get to know us, which made our experience feel personal. Cast Member If you happen to find yourself on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, now you know the protocol! In the meantime, stay tuned for all the latest Disney news, reviews, and more!
