Why You’ll Want to Pay Attention This September If You’re a Disney Fan

If you’re a Disney fan, you know that there’s hardly anything more exciting than MAJOR Disney news.

If that sounds like you, then you’re reeeeaaaaally gonna want to be paying attention when September rolls around this year. Why, you ask? That’s because the D23 Expo — The Ultimate Disney Fan Event could bring us some BIG Disney news!

So, what is the D23 Expo? D23 Expo is an event held once every two years to celebrate multiple divisions of The Walt Disney Company including film, television, theme parks, products, music, live entertainment, and more. Typically, Disney also uses the event as a venue for major news announcements!

The previous D23 Expo took place in 2019. Due to the event being delayed in 2021, we’re a bit overdue for an expo. So, when the events kick off on September 9th, 10th, and 11th this year; you’ll probably want to be paying attention!

Tickets go on sale on January 20th and Disney has announced that the event will give us a glimpse of plans for the 100th-anniversary celebration of The Walt Disney Company, but they haven’t teased the other news that will be released.

And D23 Expo news does tend to be BIG. For reference, the 2019 D23 Expo brought us:

• A lot of information about the EPCOT Transformation (including Moana Journey of Water, the transformation of Future World, Spaceship Earth updates, the name of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the name of Harmonious, the announcement of the Mary Poppins attraction, and the name of Space 220),
• More information about Reflections, A Disney Lakeside Lodge,
• The official reveal of the Avengers Campus plans including the Phase II attraction that has yet to open
• A closer look at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser,
• The announcement of Magic Happens parade in Disneyland,
• The announcement of Disney Wish ship and Disney’s upcoming island Lighthouse Point,
• And the announcement of Disney Genie.

Whew. See? That’s a TON of huge news! It’s been a while since we’ve seen an expo, so there could be some exciting announcements at the eventt this year. And good news, we know exactly how you can keep up with all of them!
