Ah, EPCOT. Home of the giant glowing ball (aka Spaceship Earth), delicious food booths, the Soarin’ attraction…and weekend crowds.

Now THAT’s an entrance!

Now that the holiday season is here (!!!) and travel restrictions are being lifted around the world, Disney World has been seeing longer lines and higher wait times. On our way into EPCOT today, we definitely felt the impacts of these changes. Take a look at the crowd level on this sunny Sunday!

We headed to EPCOT around 11AM, and as you can see, we had the same idea as a LOT of other guests.

Want to enter EPCOT? Get in line! (literally)

The crowds were forming before we even entered the park! Even the line to enter the parking lot was several cars deep. The runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon is this weekend with a special event in EPCOT tonight, so that could be why we are seeing so many guests at the park.

That’s a lot of people!

On a day like today where the park is pretty crowded, would you spring for Genie+? EPCOT doesn’t have nearly as many attractions as Magic Kingdom, so we typically recommend purchasing Genie+ at some of the other parks like Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Let us know your thoughts!

Prepare for some crowds!

Either way, if you want to avoid the crowds, you might want to head to another park today! In the meantime, stay tuned for more updates and news from around the parks!
