Disney World is decked out for the holidays with tons of decorations and plenty of delicious new treats. Holiday Decorations Have Arrived! Today, we’ve got a construction update for one of Disney World’s most famous holiday traditions: the life-sized Grand Floridian Resort Gingerbread House! We stopped by the Grand Floridian and saw that the house’s exterior is basically finished! The elaborate display, which is made with real gingerbread attached to a sturdy skeleton, will also house a shop that sells holiday treats, as it has it past years. It’s almost time! This year, the house has some EARidescent touches to celebrate Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, including blue and gold tinsel and a 50th Anniversary sign! Wow! Even Santa is in a nice EARidescent blue suit for the 50th Anniversary, complete with plenty of sparkle! Santa’s here! If you stop by the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House, you can find out all the ingredients that went into the giant house (including half a ton of honey), learn about the process of creating the house, and see the menu for the Gingerbread House’s shop, which will open on November 10th!
