Disney4me
We would never have thought so many Disney attractions would get their own movies, but so far we’ve seen the success of a full series of movies based on Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as a lesser successful film based on the Haunted Mansion (although that film is reportedly getting a reboot!). Space Mountain There’s also a Jungle Cruise movie on the way (in case you’ve forgotten). But now another Disney attraction reportedly has a film in the works: Space Mountain! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is working on a live-action Space Mountain movie and has tapped Joby Harold to write the script. Harold is also the writer for the upcoming Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Space Mountain at Night Harold and his wife, Tory Tunnell, will produce the film, along with Rideback, which produced the live-action Aladdin. Disney is keeping quiet about a potential plot, but it’s reportedly a “family adventure,” so we’re going to go out on a limb and say it’s a “family space adventure.” (cause…you know…SPACE Mountain!) Space Mountain Queue The Space Mountain film is also being pegged for a theatrical release, although the future of movie theaters remains up in the air due to the current global health crisis. Disney’s most recent movie, Mulan, premiered on Disney+, and its upcoming Pixar movie, Soul, will follow suit in December.
