That’s because this April marks not only the 25th Anniversary of the Disney Conservation Fund BUT also the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s celebration will kick off April 18th and lead up to April 22nd, which is Earth Day! The big party plans include special entertainment, chats with experts, and even a live television event that will be GLOBALLY broadcasted! We’re talkin’ a Disney Earth Day Bash of EPIC proportions!

Ever wondered what it’s like to “walk with the animals, talk with the animals, grunt and squeak and squawk with the animals?” The Wild By Nature Speaker Series will highlight the park’s own expert panel of animal educators and conservation heroes. Set to take place in the Theater in the Wild, guests are invited to learn from the very folks who are on the front lines of working to save the planet and its wildlife!

Also joining the speaker series, photographers and videographers from National Geographic will share their adventures and talk about how they capture those perfect wildlife-action shots on film! A new collection of National Geographic will also be debuted!

A new special-edition 25th-anniversary book called, “Disney Conservation Legacy,” will be released for purchase in the park during the Earth Day celebration. And at the Animation Experience at Conservation Station, you’ll get to see how Disney animators bring to life some of your favorite furry and feather Disney friends. Special Disney characters will even be featured during the Earth Day celebration!

The show is being produced along with ABC News, and the special will feature some of National Geographic’s mort-revered explorers along with leading ABC News anchors and correspondents who will “take viewers on a journey into the most fascinating, breathtaking environments around the world to witness and celebrate the diversity and splendor of charismatic baby animals, their families, and habitat!”
