A fire began on February 6th in Disneyland Park, but was quickly extinguished. The cause of the fire has now been determined by state agencies.

According to the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health spokesperson Frank Polizzi, as reported by the Orange County Register, “The fire was related to a generator supplying power to a building.”

The fire originally erupted in a backstage area between the Disneyland Firehouse and the Emporium. The fire did manage to burn some of the landscape surrounding the Jungle Cruise before Anaheim Fire and Rescue as well as Disneyland’s own fire department extinguished the flames.

While the fire did force Adventureland to be temporarily closed and caused isolated power outages, Orange County Register reports, “Disneyland officials said no visitors or employees were injured by the fire and no buildings were damaged.”

While it can be scary to see things like this fire in the parks, Disney does take every step imaginable to make sure that their guests are safe and they do their best to resolve to fix any safety hazard as quickly as possible.
