Disney4me
We realize the Black Spire Outpost is situated on a far-away alien planet, but things took a truly bizarre turn on Batuu this morning! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios And right about now, you should be considering yourself VERY lucky if you visited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios before Rise of the Resistance opened! While we’re used to having to wait longer for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run since Rise of the Resistance debuted (luckily we’ll soon be able to use FastPasses for Smugglers Run, so no biggie!) we’re NOT used to waiting in line to enter a Disney World shop! That’s why we were shocked to see a queue outside Droid Depot just before noon today with a 60-minute wait time! Droid Depot Considering you’ll spend $99.99 +tax to build-your-own-droid once you get in, this is ONE expensive wait! But Droid Depot wasn’t alone! Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities also had a line just to go in! We can wait 30 minutes in a standby line to ride one of our favorite attractions or meet a rare character standing on our heads, but to enter a gift shop to spend a bunch of money? This might be pushing it a little. Den of Antiquities This is the first time we’ve personally seen these two Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge gift shops post wait times, and so far we’ve only seen them at Droid Depot and Dok-Ondar’s. We’ll let you know if we see any other shops start doing this as well, so stay tuned for developments! Would you wait an hour to enter Droid Depot? What do you think about waiting to enter a gift shop in Disney World? Let us know in the comments below!
