Disney4me
Disney Skyliner has been a super-convenient way to zip around between several of the Disney World parks and resorts since it debuted last year! Disney’s Skyliner That is — if it doesn’t break down while you’re on it! You see, every now and then Disney Skyliner experiences technical difficulties. Luckily, none of the interruptions in service (that we know of) have been quite as severe as the three-hour delay the new Disney World gondola system suffered during its first week when two of its cars collided. But still, if you get trapped on the Disney Skyliner during one of these breakdowns, it might cause you to run a late for that clutch Slinky Dog Dash FastPass or Topolino’s Terrace dining reservation — AND that would be a big bummer! Epcot’s International Gateway Skyliner Station During Today’s Closure That’s why when the Disney Skyliner’s Epcot line temporarily stopped for about 15 minutes today, Cast Members were armed and at the ready to help make it right for guests who had been stuck. The gondolas were unloaded at the Skyliner’s International Gateway Station where guests received a bonus FastPass for the inconvenience — and it was good for any Epcot attraction of their choice THAT DAY! Cast Members Issuing FastPasses to Guests Who Were Stuck on Disney Skyliner While Disney Skyliner still seems to be ironing out some kinks, we think it’s kind of Cast Members to offer guests a little something for their troubles when these problems arise! While we’re not sure if this is common practice for when the Disney Skyliner stops working, we’ve seen in the past on attractions like Rise of the Resistance, Cast Members give out 1-day park tickets or additional boarding groups or FastPasses when it broke down on its opening day. Cast Members Giving Out FastPasses For now, Disney recommends that you try to compensate for any Disney Skyliner delays by giving yourself extra time. And who knows, if you do get stuck (even briefly) you may find yourself walking out of the Skyliner Station with a bonus FastPass in your pocket! Have you ever been stuck on Disney Skyliner?
