Disney4me
We’re getting HYPE for the upcoming Magic Happens parade in Disneyland! ©Disney Magic Happens is an all-new daytime parade premiering in Disneyland next month with the goal of celebrating the magic in Disney and Pixar films! We’ve already seen concept art for many of the floats we can expect including a Moana float, a Sleeping Beauty float, and a Coco float. Now, we’re getting to see even more concept art from the parade with a sneak peek straight from Disney, so check out these BEAUTIFUL floats and costumes! Magic Happens Floats The first of the new art that we got a peek at is this gorgeous drawing of the Cinderella float that will ride along the parade route. The float will depict the moment that magic turns a regular pumpkin into the classic Cinderella’s carriage. Wowza! Cinderella Float ©Disney Is there a more magical moment in Disney movies than when Arthur pulls the sword from the stone? We’re not sure! Either way, that famous scene will be seen on The Sword in the Stone float during Magic Happens. We’re pumped for this one since it includes rarer characters, Merlin and Arthur. Sword in the Stone Float ©Disney AND we’ll also get to witness the way that true love’s kiss can transform Tiana and Naveen from frog to human. According to Disney, “Tiana and Naveen from The Princess and the Frog are seen amidst a swirl of golden flowers where they share a kiss, completing their transformation back into human forms.” Princess and the Frog Float ©Disney Magic Happens Costumes Some of the new concept art came in the form of a sneak peek video (more on that later!) that featured designs for many of the performer costumes! We love this gorgeous Coco-inspired ensemble that we’ll hopefully see many of the performers wearing! Magic Happens Costume ©Disney There are a few costumes that are less obvious as to which float or film they go with, but we think that many of these are tributes to the alebrijes (that’s “spirit guides”) of Coco. Look at this colorful antelope and butterfly hybrid! Magic Happens Costume ©Disney Potentially another alebrije is this hedgehog-y bear. Magic Happens Costume ©Disney There were a few costumes that look like they’ll go along with the Frozen float with design themes from Frozen 2. We think this costume looks awfully like it’s inspired by the Earth Giants from the film! Magic Happens Costume ©Disney And this one looks like a pretty awesome tribute to the Wind Spirit, Gale! Magic Happens Costume ©Disney Which would make a lot of sense considering this last costume is giving us some SERIOUS Maleficent dragon vibes! Magic Happens Costume ©Disney Magic Happens Sneak Peek Video All of this new art and more info can be seen in a sneak peek video. You can watch as final touches are added to parade floats, performers rehearse, and the music is wrapped up with Todrick Hall! This sneak peek has made us even more excited for Magic Happens and we can’t wait to see the final product on February 28th! Click here to see more of the totally GORGEOUS Magic Happens Floats!
