And, although we’ve taken you to ALL four food booths this year to review Red Dragon Spice Traders, Lucky 8 Lantern, Prosperity Bao & Buns, and Longevity Noodle Co., we’re stopping by one of the carts in the area for another tasty treat!

The Mandarin Orange Cotton Candy has been spun up for the Lunar New Year festival!

In case you aren’t aware, mandarin oranges are considered symbols of good fortune and prosperity for the Chinese New Year! So, it only makes sense we start our 2020 off with one of these bbs, right?? 😉

And, let us tell you — the orange flavor is REAL in this cotton candy!! Before you even bite in, you can smell the sweet, citrusy flavor that the treat has. The sugar tastes like artificial orange sugar, but it’s not too overdone (AKA not sickly sweet).

If we say it tastes like baby aspirin, many of you will likely immediately know what we mean (but seriously — don’t give babies aspirin nowadays! We learned a few generations back that’s like…a big no no! Just don’t, ok?). BUT if you were ever lucky enough to taste baby aspirin back in the day, picture that but BETTER. Imagine just a hint on sweet orangey flavor. Awesome. Even if you aren’t a huge fan of cotton candy, the Mandarin Orange Cotton Candy is worth a try if you want to be bold and brave by trying something new for the new year!
