Disney4me Posted December 28, 2019 Report Share Posted December 28, 2019 The Skywalker Saga has ended (and we’re still crying about it). ©Lucasfilm But, while we’ve had to say goodbye to our past friends, we’ve also been welcoming the stories of new ones (Season 2 of The Mandalorian, here we come!!). Still, we can’t help but wonder what will happen to the Star Wars universe with the epic conclusion to the recent trilogy. Well, you might want to listen up, Padawans! ‘Cause we’ve got some answers for you! We’ve seen a Star Wars film released in theaters every year since The Force Awakens in 2015. Buuut, Lucasfilm and Disney are taking a hiatus for TWO. WHOLE. YEARS. to bring fans new galactic content! ©Disney Disney has announced that the next Star Wars movie won’t be coming to theaters until December 2022 at the earliest…and that’s basically all we know about it. However, we do know that Disney+ will be airing a new Obi-Wan Kenobi series, a possible spin-off with Cassian Andor, and the continuation of The Mandalorian. Sooo, worry not, you will! Fans will still be getting some Star Wars content before 2022. The Mandalorian ©Disney Although we might have a few ideas about what the franchise will hold in the future, we’re just going to have to re-watch the past films in anticipation of the new ones.
