Disney4me Posted December 23, 2019 Report Share Posted December 23, 2019 Two things: 1) Did you know Disney World has a super fun and beloved Ice Cream and Soda Shoppe called Beaches and Cream that’s been closed for refurb since August and is OPENING BACK UP ON THURSDAY?; and 2) Did you know Disney World has a super fun and already-beloved new President who just subtly slid us a hint on a NEW SHAKE that may be debuting there?? Beaches and Cream Buckle up, friends — there’s too much good stuff to share! OK, so let’s start with Beaches and Cream! This wonderful little spot in Disney’s Beach Club Resort has been a guest favorite for what seems like millennia. First you had to time your visit perfectly to get one of the few tables inside; and then, when they started offering Advance Dining Reservations, you had to grab yours 180 days in advance to guarantee one! Beaches and Cream In August, this beloved ice cream and burger joint closed for refurbishment and cut into the side of the Arcade next door to expand! YAY! And now we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! Beaches and Cream is reopening to the public on Thursday with more space, more tables, more menu items….just MORE! Beaches and Cream New Space! But yesterday, Disney World’s new President, Josh D’Amaro, visited the location to try out the eats…and sent us all a few mementos on his instagram account so we could see INSIDE for the first time! Beaches and Cream TEAM (c) Josh D’Amaro It’s SO nice to see so many tables and so much space in there! And of course, the famous Kitchen Sink Sundae is BACK! Beaches and Cream (c) Josh D’Amaro BUT…there’s something else that caught our eye in this photo… . Is that a Donut Shake I spy?? Beaches and Cream is well-known for the fun souvenir over-the-top shakes served in souvenir mason jars (these debuted in 2018). Delicious classic shakes are topped with yummy baked goods to make not only an awesome dessert, but also an instagrammable phenom. Beaches and Cream Shakes From time to time they introduce new seasonal options, and in this photo, there’s a NEW ONE! It looks like there’s a new DONUT SHAKE joining the three other classic options. Judging by the graham cracker crumbs around the top and the green hue, my guess is that this one is KEY LIME, but we’ll have to wait until Thursday to find out for sure! And we also can’t wait to go “HOME” to Beaches and Cream this week! We’ve missed our favorite servers and our favorite eats! Stay tuned!
