Happy Try-To-Avoid-Spoilers-All-Day-On-The-Internet Day!

Now some of you have already seen Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which opens nationwide today. Some of you are counting down the hours until your ticket allows you entrance. And some of you are just trying to avoid spoilers until you can go see it with the whole family on Christmas Eve.

But the movie’s opening means things are a-changin’ in Disney World and Disneyland already!

We’ve got movie props and costumes at Launch Bay in Disney World, new lightsabers at Dok Ondar’s on Batuu in Galaxy’s Edge, AND a brand new scene in Star Tours on both coasts!

While Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been getting ALL the attention in recent times (they’ve obvi made it very easy with the recent opening of the groundbreaking attraction Rise of The Resistance), the classic Star Tours attraction has now also received a little love.

Star Tours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

In honor of the movie release, a new location and scene from “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” has been added to the Star Tours attraction at Disney Parks across the globe.

Star Tours is always a blast and totally CLASSIC Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You never know where C-3PO and R2-D2 will be navigating you! With so many adventures to choose from, each journey aboard the Starspeeder 1000 is totally unique!

Now Disney has teamed up once again with the creative forces of Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic to update Star Tours with a destination we’ve already spotted in The Rise of Skywalker’s latest trailer — the ocean moon Kef Bir! That’s right! Disneyland, Disney World, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disney Resort’s Star Tours have all received the new Kef Bir scene.

Find Out More About Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Here!

OK, we’re gonna give you the deets. There aren’t REAL spoilers here, but if you want to keep your ears closed to all Rise of Skywalker words today, look away! ;-D

New Star Tours Location and Scene Details

As your ride begins, your opening is either the Scanner bot looking for the spy, or Kylo Ren using the force (as before). You and your companions will escape the dock and light-speed CRASH into the ocean on Kef Bir, where the remains of the Death Star lay!

The action ramps up as you wrangle with what looks like a Dianoga to us. (Here’s our interpretation of it since we couldn’t take pictures on the ride.)

(I’m sure all is very clear to you now.)

You escape and exit light speed again. Lando Calrissian shows up and asks YOU for help, so you follow him into the final battle scene from Rise of Skywalker! You assist, and make your way home.

Now, of course, there’s a LOT going on here — especially in that final battle scene — and we don’t want to share any more spoilers than necessary! But note that if you are planning to ride today and you haven’t seen the film, there may be spoilers in that final scene for you!

Now, stay tuned for LOTS MORE info from Disney World today as we show you what’s changing thanks to Episode 9!
