Now that Disney’s Riviera Resort has finally opened and we’re IN LOVE with its sophisticated European flair, we still feel a certain pull to this South Seas-inspired oasis!

Join us as we head to Disney’s Polynesian Resort to enjoy a little “island time.” Plus, check out the tiki gingerbread treat we just discovered!

The Polynesian is a place we’re proud to call our Disney World holiday abode because of its unique spin on Christmas traditions. And today we spotted a snack you’ll only find at Disney’s Polynesian Resort — a Tiki Gingerbread Cookie!

OH WHAT FUN! Seriously, though — how cute is this little guy?! He’s such an interesting fellow to run into! While most of the snacks we’ve been seeing this holiday season at Disney World have been rather similar-looking (Santa Hat… Santa Hat… Santa Hat…) the Tiki Gingerbread Cookie is SUPER distinct and truly a Disney World original!

But enough about this cookie’s rugged good looks! Time to see how this one-of-a-kind gingerbread cookie TASTES!

We’re happy to report he’s SUPER yummy! The gingerbread is soft and delicious. He didn’t taste as spicy as some of the gingerbread we’ve had at the Grand Floridian Snack Shop or Beach Club, but the decorative sugar topper brought some nice sweetness to him. He’s a SWEET tiki guy!

We picked up the Small Gingerbread Tiki for $5.50 at Kona Cafe. There’s also a Large Gingerbread Tiki for $6.50! And while you’re there, be sure to snag your Star Wars Refillable Mug, too! Now if only we could teach the Tiki birds in the Enchanted Tiki Room to sing some Christmas carols…

What do you think of the new Tiki Gingerbread Cookie? Let us know in the comments below!
