Disney4me Posted December 18, 2019 Report Share Posted December 18, 2019 As anyone who’s ever made the pilgrimage to Walt Disney’s original theme park can tell you, getting from the airports (especially LAX!) to Disneyland can be a bit of a hassle. Disneyland’s Adventureland You see, unlike Disney World’s Magical Express set-up, there isn’t a free Disney-owned and operated airport shuttle included when you book your Disneyland resort stay. There has been, however, the Disneyland Resort Express, a popular shuttle service provided by Coach USA. That is… until NOW! And according to The Orange County Register, starting early next year the Disneyland Resort Express, will cease operating both of its airport shuttles servicing Disneyland-bound guests flying in from LAX and John Wayne. Meaning guests visiting the “Happiest Place on Earth” are going to have to find their own third party means of transportation if they wanna see Sleeping Beauty’s Castle! Disneyland Disneyland is a good 33 miles from LAX International Airport and 15 miles from John Wayne Airport, making the use of a shuttle bus, rental car or rideshare service a requirement when planning a visit to Disney’s California theme parks. Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure This is sure to make an already challenging situation even more difficult if you’re hoping to forgo the expenses of renting and parking a car at the Disneyland Resort or are traveling with small children requiring car seats. Disneyland’s Frontierland The last day the Disneyland Resort Express airport shuttle bus service will be offered is January 7th, 2020. We’ll keep you informed as this story develops!
