If you’re looking to break up a day of riding as many rides as possible at the parks, or eating ALL the Disney treats, we’ve got some hidden experiences and gems for you to discover at Disney World

The VOID in Disney Springs

This might be one of the COOLEST experiences in Disney Springs — and not a ton of people seem to know about it! The VOID provides guests will a fully-immersive virtual reality experience, using a helmet mounted VR display and lots of motion sensors to totally immerse you into whichever storyline you choose (typically there are two available at the location).

You can find The VOID in not only Disney Springs, but also Downtown Disney in Disneyland, along with several cities across the US and Canada. Currently, both Disney World and Disneyland offer Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire: a virtual-reality experience that takes place during Rogue One, and puts you face to face with some iconic Star Wars characters!

The experience usually takes about fifteen minutes or so, at a cost of about $35 to $40 per person, but it is truly one of the most unique experiences you can take in while in Disney!

The Void is also on the West Coast in Downtown Disney! Read about the newest VR experience at The Void in California!

Horseback Riding

That’s right, you can go horseback riding right in Disney World! If you’re in the mood for an outdoors-y activity, simply head over to Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Fort Wilderness where you can go horseback riding!

Typically the Tri-Circle-D Ranch will offer several times available to hit the dusty trail with your new horse BFF. Rides will typically last 45 minutes, and are available to reserve for $55 per person! Tri-CircleRanch‘s typical offerings also include pony rides as well as carriage and wagon rides, although those particular particular offerings are currently available on a walk-in basis only as the location is under refurbishment. Luckily, it doesn’t seem to have affected horseback riding, so you can still make reservations for you and your group to enjoy!

Amorette’s Cake Decorating

This one is SO FUN! Amorette’s Patissiere in Disney Springs is known for their totally Instagrammable dome cakes, but what many people don’t know is that they actually offer classes on how to make them yourself! Each class can hold a max of 14 guests, each of whom will be given the opportunity to make a classic Mickey dome cake, or another character (picked by the artist) on alternating days.

The 90-minute class is held nearly every day at 9 AM, and costs $169 plus tax for up to two people decorating one cake (all participants must be 10 years of age or older). While the price is steep, we had a lot of fun taking part it in ourselves!

During the class, two cake artists take you through the steps of decorating your own cake, showing you how to paint and shape fondant. And when it’s all done you get to add your name to the back so they can pack it up for you to take home with you. All in all, this is one unique (and YUMMY) experience to enjoy in Disney Springs!

The special event is held at 3 PM on every second Wednesday of the month over at the Yacht Club Resort. Available for $45 per person, each event has its own theme. When we went, our theme was  “Never Had a Wine Like Me,” which plays off of “Friend Like Me” from Disney’s Aladdin.

At the event, you’ll be able to sample four wines (all presented by Yachtsman Steakhouse’s sommelier), and you will also receive a small charcuterie board to pair with your wines. Overall, it’s an awesome way to spend an afternoon at Disney, and is an especially great idea for any girls trip or family get together you might have planned!
