NEWS! Wanna Hop on a TRON Lightcycle at Disney World? Now You CAN!

We thought we’d be waiting quite a while before we’d be sitting on the back of a TRON lightcycle!

While Disney’s shared TRON’s new ride vehicles with us before (along with TRON’s Cast Members costumes) we thought we wouldn’t have the chance to saddle up before 2021, when TRON: Lightcyle Run is slated to open! But we found out today that wasn’t the case!

A pair of TRON lightcycles has appeared in the Magic Kingdom today and folks are EXCITED!

Hop right on one of the two lightcycles in Tomorrowland and pose with a buddy in what is already proving to be a very popular photo opp!

TRON: Lightcycle Run is modeled after Shanghai Disneyland Park’s TRON: Lightcycle Power Run. The thrilling semi-enclosed rollercoaster is going to be a major draw to Disney World when it opens in 2021 — just in time for its 50th-anniversary celebration!

You’ll find the TRON lightcycles over by Space Mountain currently! You may have to wait in line for your turn, but it’ll be a cool experience and a great memory to have!
