Primo Piatto Sign Primo Piatto serves as the resort’s quick service and grab-and-go location offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner! This trattoria serves hearty Italian favorites, which as owners of hearty appetites, we can really appreciate! And guess what, Disney dining plan peeps? Primo Piatto counts as a quick-service meal option for you guys! Now let’s go check it out! Atmosphere We’re scoping out all the new digs Disney’s Riviera Resort has to offer, but you know us… we’re really just here for the FOOD! Lucky for us (and you!) Primo Piatto is open from 7AM to midnight every day! Primo Piatto And you’ll find this fast-casual restaurant on the resort’s first floor just steps away from Bar Riva — Riviera’s pool bar! Primo Piatto Outside Primo Piatto, there are some benches with soft cushions for lounging and tables to set your coffee down while you read the morning paper! Primo Piatto Outdoor Seating Inside, you’ll find a spacious seating area complete with booths along one side of the room and tables near the large arched windows! Simply lovely! Primo Piatto Indoor Seating There’s even a long, community table perfect for large parties or smaller groups who want to mingle! Primo Piatto Indoor Seating The overall look of Primo Piatto is sleek and subtle while the pattern of the tile mosaic floor lends just a touch of modernity to the space. Primo Piatto Artwork that adorns the walls includes classic black and white photography of Walt Disney on his travels around the world outlined by decorative wainscoting and a palette of calming, subdued colors. Primo Piatto Primo Piatto’s vintage-inspired lighting is also a nod to its simple, yet elegantly refined sense of style. Primo Piatto Atmosphere Meanwhile, the gorgeous open-air kitchen acts are the restaurant’s main focal point. Primo Piatto Kitchen You can also pick up a quick snack from the Primo Piatto pastry cases. We saw muffins, cookies, croissants and other goodies available for purchase. Primo Piatto Pastry Case And Primo Piatto’s Wine and Coffee station looked seriously legit as well! We can see quite a few wine and pastry pairings in our future here! Primo Piatto Wine and Coffee Station There are cases of grab-n-go ice-cold beverages for you to choose from… Primo Piatto Beverage Station And check out Primo Piatto’s ultra modern-looking Coke Freestyle machines! Who wouldn’t want to refill their Refillable Resort Mugs right here every day, we ask you?! So cool! Primo Piatto Freestyle Coke Machines Speaking of which! There were plenty of Refillable Resort Mugs on hand when we arrived! And can we just have this bar cart, please? It’s so lovely, we just want to roll it home with us! Refillable Resort Mugs There’s even a microwave and toaster available in case you need one! Microwave and Toaster As well as condiments… ON TAP! Isn’t the 21st-century GRAND! Condiments Plenty of coffee fixings as well including various types of milk (including non-dairy almond milk!) Primo Piatto Coffee Station Oh! And we can’t forget to mention there’s grab ‘n go gelato at Primo Piatto, too! Disney has thought of everything! There’s Cherry Vanilla Swirl Gelato! Cherry Vanilla Swirl Gelato As well as Toasted Honey Almond Gelato, mmm! Toasted Honey Almond Gelato But we can’t leave out Vanilla Chocolate Chunk Gelato! These look so delicious! Vanilla Chocolate Chunk Gelato Alright, enough drooling over the to-go gelato! We gotta hurry before breakfast wraps up, after all! We’re ready to order up our first meal at Primo Piatto, pronto! Eats Check out the A.M. offerings of Primo Piatto below! The breakfast menu is broken down into Breakfast Pizzas, Breakfast Sandwiches, and Entrees, including Plant-Based options like the Scrambled “Egg” Bowl! Primo Piatto Menu There’s also a wide selection of Kid’s Meals and Beverages to kick off your day with before heading off to the parks! Primo Piatto Menu Oh, and here’s a look at the Primo Piatto’s Specialty Coffee menu for fellow coffee snobs! Primo Piatto Menu For our eats we picked up a couple of tasty bites. This Warm Sticky Bun we grabbed for $4.29 didn’t stand a chance! It did put up a little bit of a fight, though, as it was VERY sticky! The topping reminded us of peanut brittle (only these were almonds!) and it had a nice crunch! Overall, it was delightful! (But seriously, it was ACTUALLY very sticky!) Warm Sticky Bun And these Blueberry-Lemon Pancakes for $11.29 weren’t messing around either! They were super — as in super THICK! They sorta remind us of Japanese souffle pancakes that are having a moment right now! Plus we have 2 little words for you — mascarpone cream. Yup, sold. Blueberry Pancakes Not sure about you, but we always find room for pizza — especially when its this yummy-looking! Here’s Primo Piatto’s Breakfast Pizza! But we’d eat it morning, noon and night if we could! It’s topped with Italian Sausage, Roasted Tomatoes and a soft-baked egg for $10.29. Breakfast Pizza And while the Breakfast Pizza reminded us more of an open-faced sandwich, there was this good ol’ fashion Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich with Egg, too! This bad boy features eggs, provolone, mortadella, and vegetable giardiniera (pickled veggies) on a Ciabatta roll for $11.29. Breakfast Sandwich Check out Primo Piatto’s FULL Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Menus HERE! And while we finished up breakfast at Primo Piatto, we saved just enough room for some LUNCH! Primo Piatto’s lunch menu offerings include Hearth Baked Pizzas, Hot and Cold Sandwiches, Entrees, and Salad including several Plant-based options, as well as Desserts, too! Check out the tasty Croque Monsieur we ordered for ourselves! Croque Monsieur This tasty classic French ham and cheese sammie starring ham, cheese and Bechamel sauce between toasty bread with even MORE cheese on top. Grab this for $12.99 with your choice of side (we went with french fries!). If you want this even more fun, order it for breakfast as the Croque Madame — this is the same sandwich with a fried egg on top! Croque Monsieur We gotta say, it was our favorite thing that we’d tried so far at Primo Piatto. The bread could have been toasted just a smidge more, but the flavors were seriously on point! We also sampled the Harrisa-spiced Chicken Salad on Pita for $9.49! Harissa Chicken Salad on Pita This dish was also super-enjoyable. The chicken was light and flavorful while the spread itself had a nice mix of textures thanks to some chopped pieces of celery and bits of crushed up almonds! The pita was fresh and went well with the crisp lettuce and tomato. We didn’t pick up too much heat from this, so don’t let the Harissa in the name scare you off! Harissa Chicken Salad on Pita And check out the Tuna Niçoise Salad we scored for $13.99! We had to pinch our arms to remind ourselves we’re at a quick-service restaurant. The presentation of this dish is incredible! And we’re excited to report the flavors didn’t disappoint either! Tuna Nicoise Salad While our salad was dressed a little too heavy with Dijon vinaigrette, the tuna was cooked perfectly and there were some nice briny notes from the Kalamata olives scattered throughout. It’s served with a perfectly cooked egg, crunchy fresh green beans, roasted potatoes, and tomatoes. Tuna Nicoise Salad After eating two meals virtually back to back, we’d ALMOST had our fill. But we dug deep and found the ROOM and COURAGE to continue on! What’s for dessert? How about this adorable Butter Cookie for $3.29! It’s got Artist Mickey on it, whom you can meet at Topolino’s character breakfast! Butter Cookie Read our review of Topolino’s Character breakfast here! Hey, it may be simple, but it’s effective! This little Mickey-shaped cutie really hit the spot! And he was so SOFT he was virtually falling apart in our hands! Butter Cookie And while the beverage and snack selection remains the same throughout the day, Primo Piatto’s dinner menu reflects the same options available for lunchtime, but with the addition of several dinner-time exclusive specialty entrees! We’ll be back for more once we DIGEST a little of what we’ve already tried first! And don’t forget — you can also mobile order your food at Primo Piatto via the My Disney Experience app!
