Creature Comforts

The most wonderful time is in full swing in Disney World! From the Double Chocolate Peppermint Ice Cream Sandwich to the Peppermint Soft-ServeAnimal Kingdom has been serving up all kinds of festive goodies! Today, we’re heading over to Creature Comforts in Animal Kingdom to try out another cheery treat — or should we say cranberry treat!

The Cranberry Mickey Brownie has sleighed into Animal Kingdom! This adorable Santa Mickey-themed treat is a brownie with cranberry icing – and lot’s of it (more on that in a minute…).

First off, just how cute is this treat?! The brownie comes topped with red cranberry icing and white icing to complete the look of the “Santa hat”. The Mickey ears are made of white chocolate, and everything is covered in beautiful crystal sugar.

So, let’s get back to that icing. It’s a lovely mousse-consistency, with a wonderfully strong cranberry flavor. That being said, boy oh boy, there is a LOT of it!

While it’s delicious and has a wonderful cranberry flavor that goes well with the brownie, we found the amount of icing to be slightly overwhelming! We ended up taking a little bit of it off, and found the combination of tastes to be super enjoyable!
