Disney4me
This has to be one of the tallest cupcakes we’ve seen in Disney World. Polynesian Resort So, yes, there are a lot of really awesome Christmas trees around Disney World right now (check out the Christmas Tree Trail in Disney Springs to see a whole bunch of them!), but there are also some Christmas tree cupcakes! We just spotted a cute little tree cupcake in Animal Kingdom. Maybe the real trees inspired the pastry chefs? If so, then chefs at Polynesian Resort must have been inspired by a pretty tall tree because the new Christmas Tree Cupcake is sky high! We were checking out the pastry case at Kona Island (Us? Checking out a pastry case? How predictable.) when a MASSIVE treat caught our eye. It’s a new Christmas Tree Cupcake and this thing is SO HUGE. Christmas Tree Cupcake The cupcake itself is chocolate and it’s stuffed full of peppermint mousse. Add in that massive Christmas tree on top and this is a real showstopper! Don’t worry, that tree isn’t all icing, it’s actually a sugar ice cream cone turned upside down and decorated! Christmas Tree Cupcake Now, there’s no denying this is a pretty treat, but what about the taste??? So, the icing and the mousse are both peppermint-flavored which made this cupcake VERY pepperminty. We thought it was a bit much, but luckily the chocolate cake helps to dial it back a little bit. Honestly, it probably would’ve been better with just regular icing and the peppermint inside. Still, the cake was rich and moist and the whole thing was overall pretty tasty! Christmas Tree Cupcake If you love the flavor of peppermint, then this should be a total knock out. If you wanna try out a TALL treat, head to Kona Island and snag this sweet for $5.99! Click here to check out another Christmas Tree-inspired cupcake in Disney World!
