Boardwalk Bakery

Over at Disney’s Boardwalk, the Boardwalk Bakery has been bringing us all kinds of festive goodies to celebrate the holidays, and today we’ve got a new one for ya!

A new holiday cupcake has arrived at the Boardwalk Bakery! Decorated to look like a comforting cup of hot cocoa, we were interested to see if this beauty tasted as good as it looked!

This holiday cupcake is chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse filling and cinnamon simple syrup topped with a few marshmallows.

As pretty as the cupcake looks, we found the taste to be just okay. BUMMER! The cake had a good balance of being moist without getting soggy from the simple syrup, though we could just barely taste any of the cinnamon flavor that was supposed to be there.

We’re not huge fans of the whipped-type frosting this had, though if you are then it might be more of a winner for you! That being said, the sparkles on top of the frosting were definitely a fun (and festive!) choice. The marshmallows were a cute addition, and they definitely tasted fresh!

Overall, while this might not have been our personal cup of tea cocoa, if you are a fan of whipped-type frosting and chocolate cake, this might be worth trying out!

If you’re looking to try the new holiday cupcake, you can find it at the Boardwalk Bakery for $5.99 or a snack credit if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan!
