The China pavilion is celebrating the season with a nod to the Lunar New Year, and a great way to celebrate is with food! Check out our full review of the Shanghai Holiday Kitchen booth in the China Pavilion!

Shanghai Festival of the Holidays Booth Menu

Food

Let’s get started with the eats at the booth:

Pork and Vegetable Egg Rolls

These Pork and Vegetable Egg Rolls are on the menu for $4.25, and are a stick-to-your-ribs option. These are pretty standard, but they do have some flavor. That said, there are better options at the booth.

Mongolian Beef Bao Bun

You might remember the Pixar short “Bao” which is based on the popular Bao bun! Try a Bao bun for yourself filled with yummy Mongolian Beef. This one really is a substantial snack, and the flavors are all there. It’s a good option at this booth, and we’d probably choose it over the egg rolls.

Celebration Barbecue Pork

For another hearty option, grab the Celebration Barbecue Pork. Again, a LOT of food for your dollar here, and it reminds me of a favorite dish from my childhood — barbecue spare ribs with rice and my Dad’s famous barbecue sauce!

This one will go a long way toward filling you up on your way around the world.

Chengdu Street Fries

And we saved the BEST for LAST! These Chengdu Street Fries are 🔥!!! For $5.50 or a DDP snack credit, these were the winner of the booth for us — and MIGHT even be the winner of the festival!

Chengdu Spicy Street Fries

They’re spicy (not just Disney spicy), and the crunchy peanuts and green onions offer some great flavor and texture — though the fries are nice and crispy on their own.

The sauce is very similar to what you usually get with Pot Stickers, but has some heat to it as well! Welcome to Flavortown!

Drinks

On to wash it all down!

Tsingtao Beer

Moving on to the drinks, we’ve got the Tsingtao Beer! This one is very popular state-side and you’ve probably had it before. It’s very light and doesn’t have an overwhelming flavor.

Firework Cocktail

As for cocktails, the Shanghai Holiday Kitchen has a few! Try out the Firework, a blend of Jose Cuervo Tequila Gold, Vodka, Mango Syrup, Orange Juice, and Soda Water. This one was our favorite of the drinks. It wasn’t too sweet, and the tequila was the most prominent flavor. The mango subtlety was fun! But make sure you stir!

Marco Boba

Aaaaand for a sweet coffee cocktail, pick up the Marco Boba, an Amaretto, Iced Coffee, Milk and Boba cocktail! The almondy flavor comes through, and it’s a good option if you like iced coffee drinks. We preferred it to the Joffrey’s drinks this year.

The Lucky Mo

Finally, there’s The Lucky Mo! A tasty combo of Peach Schnapps, Peach Syrup, Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice and Coconut Milk. This one was super sweet AND super peachy. If you’re into fake peach or easy to drink drinks, it’s the one for you.

Overall

Shanghai is a great booth option to FILL UP FAST. Lots of protein and lots of flavor means you’ll be able to keep grabbing those fastpasses late into the night!

None of the eats are super high-priced, and we’re pretty sure those street fries are going to be our pick of the festival (we’ll let you know in our Best of the Fest later today)!

The drinks are fun and enticing for sure, and the firework is a favorite.
