What’s Christmastime without gingerbread cookies?!

Happy Holidays from the Magic Kingdom!

We’ve been snacking our way around the holiday goodies in Magic Kingdom and one spot that we’ve come to rely on for fun frozen treats is Storybook Treats in Fantasyland. We’ve got our gingerbread ears on and are ready to dive into this new sweet treat! Let’s go!

This year’s seasonal goodie du jour at Storybook Treats is a Gingerbread Sundae. Priced at $6.49, it features gingerbread soft serve topped with a sprinkle of gingerbread pieces, whipped cream, and a Minnie Mouse waffle topper.

Gingerbread Sundae

We were pleasantly surprised by the gingerbread ice cream! It tasted remarkably like the cookie! And this actually reminded us a lot of last year’s gingerbread gelato at L’Artisan des Glaces, which we loved!

Honestly, we thought this was pure gingerbread heaven and the crumble on top added some sugar, some spice, and everything nice.

Gingerbread Sundae

We’re a little confused why this comes with the same ol’ Minnie waffle topper now used year-round. No complaints — we really enjoy the waffle toppers — but it did seem odd to not give this a unique topper for the season. Oh well, c’est la vie!

This treat is available all day long in the Magic Kingdom — no need for a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket! Sooo you’ve should all season long to catch THIS gingerbread treat!
