Disney4me
We first reported in July about a potential walkway that would finally connect the Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom directly by foot! Grand Floridian Resort There’s been much a buzz about one of Walt Disney World’s earliest resorts, Grand Floridian, with the recent opening of The Beauty & The Beast inspired lounge, Enchanted Rose, as well as the recent installation of the beloved Gingerbread House. So what’s been going on with that neighboring construction? We’re happy to report that it seems that construction is moving along for the potential walkway. While this resort amenity hasn’t been officially announced by Disney, the company has received a permit for this long-awaited development. On a recent ride in the sky via the Monorail, we spied with our little eyes progress on the potential walkway! Walkway Construction Update Can’t you just imagine a nice leisurely stroll between Polynesian Resort and Grand Floridian with a direct path to Magic Kingdom? It would certainly alleviate some of the traffic experienced at the monorail surrounding fireworks time. We have seen a bit more progress on the bridge and Cast Members seem to be hard at work. Construction Update We’ll keep you posted on this very welcome addition to the Seven Seas Lagoon! How do you feel about the potential addition of a walkway to the Magic Kingdom?
